Wondering if anyone has created a BAQ report or Dashboard that is utilizing a recursive BAQ to create COSTED indented BOM report. If so, would you be willing to share that BAQ with all of us? I have been told that using a CTE query that a recursive BAQ could create a better Costed BOM report that is exportable to Excel than what Epicor has provided for the last 12 plus years. Looking to see if anyone has already created something like this and if they would shared that. I have put in a request or Epicor IDEA for a better Costed BOM report / Dashboard that is exportable to Excel, where it would be useable in Excel, unlike the report that is available now. Need to get Votes put in for this, so that it becomes part of the newer releases at a minimum. In the mean time, I thought I would see if someone has already created the wheel and was willing to share that with the group, as I see this as something everyone would benefit from. The Costed BOM report whether it is for the Indented or Single Level, it is an ugly report that does not export into Excel in any way that is worth using. I have asked for a new Dashboard or report that would give option of indented or single level BOM, that would Export into Excel. This could be used for checking costs, comparing between 2 different revs for a part or for 2 different but 2 parts that are closely related. Or the same BOM from 2 different time periods. This would be a great time saver when asked to find out why something changed in cost or why 2 different parts have such a different cost on them. If you go to the Epicor Ideas, the idea I created is KIN-1-4688. see below: PLEASE VOTE FOR THIS, So that Epicor will add it to new releases.

Since Kinetic 2023.1/2023.2 only luanches the inspection plan specification and no longer luanches the inspection plan configurator in Results Entry in Data Collection We are trying to use the specification plan entry that is there. Here is what it currently looks like.Does anyone know how I can change the order of the Attributes in the row? It is displaying them in alphabetical order of the AttributeID. Changing the tab stop number in the conficurator or in the specification has no affect. Is there anything other than recreating the AttributeIDs in the inspection plan that can be done to change the order.? Cannot just edit the Attribute ID.
Hello,we are a mid sized manufacturing company located in Michigan and I am wondering how you handle sales and use tax on purchases that are taxable? I know there is a check box when creating a PO to mark it taxable but that doesn’t really seem to cause anything to happen in the system. Just wondering if there is a way in Epicor to have the system either calculate or truly notify if a purchase needs to be considered taxable. Thank you!
In Kinetic, the Entry Screens now have what’s called an Activity window. Essentially, Epicor built the Trackers inside of most Entry screens (YEAH!!). Therefore, you don’t have to open a new form to see the related transactions to the job, order, po, etc. Additionally, this allows me to create the entry form customization and not two customizations to the independent forms: entry + tracker. Create XXX Entry screen customization layer. To apply the Entry Customization Menu Item to the Tracker Menu Item...in Menu Maintenance, find the related tracker click on Actions > Copy Menu to current Company. Now you have a UD Menu Item for the new tracker instance. Change the Program Type to Kinetic App, Select or Enter the Program (ERP.UI.xxxEntry), Select the Customization and Check the Read Only checkbox. In our canadian company we have 3 sites.On Fev 06, 2024, We shipped a Transfer Order for a Part Qty 18 from WHS 1010-PCK, bin DEFAULT.The TO is shipped. The transaction shows in Part history tracker, but in part tracker or Part on hand status, the bin Default containing the 18 parts is still at 18. Inventory has not been withdrawn.We have another case that came up today that we suspect could be the same.Does anyone has faced this before ? We are on Kinetic 2022.1.33 since Jan 1st, 2024.Thank you !

Has anyone added a column to the “Where Used” action from Part Maintenance. I am looking at adding if the part in the list is active to the result set. Curious if anyone has done that and if so where do we update the “Where Used” data grid or dataview to include an additional column. Thanks for your thoughts!
My variance in the header of Bank Statement Processing is off by the total debit amount (recognizing it as a credit) which is causing an incorrect Ending Balance by the variance amount.When I look at the Statement Workbook, everything is matched, the sum of variances rows is zero, the sum of unallocated rows is zero, but the Variance Total at the top to the right of Running Total is the total of the credits plus the total of the debits if they were negative. This is the first time uploading the csv bank statement, so I feel like it is either something to do with the upload or something to do with a flag in the background related to the uploaded statement. When I create lines for statements instead of uploading the statement, everything works correctly. I also compared the statements lines in the Statement Workbook from the uploaded statement to the statement lines from created lines in a prior month and they look the same. When I match to the uploaded statement lines, I get no variance
We have an assembly that has been returned via RMA which we disposed to a Job with one operation and one material (the assembly part number). What is the proper way to explode the assembly an put the individual materials back into inventory?
We are using Capabilities and I need to PRINT on the JOB Traveler the ResourceID in the Scheduled Resource section. The Field Help says that info is in the EpBinding Field as JobResource.ResourceID - However in the Field Help - There is NOT a DB Field - We are New to Kinetic and writing our first reports. How can I get to this information to print it.
