Proehet 21 - What happens to the history when a GL account is deleted?

If I delete an account, what happens to the historical data? Will I still be able to see it?

I believe that you cannot delete a gl account after there have been transactions posted to it.

You can mark it inactive.

I suggest you try deleting it in your test environment to confirm.

Thanks, but how do I mark it inactive? I do not see that option under Chart of Account Maintenance?

I see it under Financial > General Ledger > General Ledger Account there is an Active checkbox there. I am using E9.
