Is there any way when an employee is logged in to MES and starts production activity they only can select a job that has been assigned to them from the Work Queue or restrict the jobs to what resource groups they belong to? Right now, they see all jobs.We have shop workers that sometimes login to the wrong job or operation. Ideally, we would like to assign a resource the job/opp in Work Queue and have it show up when the employee logs into MES.I’ve tried to map out a BPM but somehow, I cannot see where to start, on the epibutton search job function or a dataview query. I’m struggling. 2 days of thinking on this.Thanks in advance!
Please help us get attention for an Epicor Idea. The more votes we get the more likely Epicor will resolve our issue. https://epicor-manufacturing.ideas.aha.io/ideas/KIN-I-4078 When time is captured for an employee either via time entry or via MES these actual hours are logged as Booked hours. The booked hours are then compared to the work hours (what the employee is excepted to work. The difference is then reported. However the difference shows incorrectly for the employee. ExampleTwo time entries were entered, 8 hours of production and 3 hours of indirect work, summing to 11 hours for the day against Work hours of 8. However as an employee Epicor then reports a difference of Minus - 3 hours that the employee has not worked enough for the day -3 hours under 8 - 11 = -3 where it should be 11 - 8 = 3. Hi All, We are currently implementing Epicor Kinetic. I have setup Territories per region and then boundaries by post code. I do not want a territory linked to a sales person as the sales reps are customer based and not by territory. I was of the impression that when you then pressed the “get territory” button on a Sales Order/Quote it would apply the correct territory based on the post code for that customer. Its not working though and is only pulling the default CRM assigned territory in company config. I have had a case open with Epicor to say its not working and they have been about as helpful as a chocolate tea pot to be honest. They have said its working correctly and it only works by pulling the default from CRM. They have suggested just logging an Epicor Idea for an “improvement” Surely this is a bug? Has anyone else come across this or got it to work as it should?I cant see the purpose of having a big “Get Territory” button if it has no purpose apart from pulling the default t

We aren’t live yet but so far I’m a big fan of the BAQ grids on the web home screen. However, if I have a BAQ with a parameter prompt, every time I leave the home screen and return, it prompts for a value, even though I haven’t selected the grid. Anyone have a solution?
2022.1.9, Classic WinForms screens, multi-company, multi-plant. I’m building an updatable dashboard for the PartAlloc table, and I need to assign an entered value to a field in multiple rows depending on the user selection. I’d like to make a customization with a field tied to a BPM data field (if that can be accessed from the C# code) and install an “Assign” button. When the user clicks the button, the value in the box gets assigned to a field of all selected records in the grid.My second choice would be to label one of the unused Y/N columns “select start” and another one “select end” and when the user clicks the button, assign the value to the field of all records between these two inclusive. But it would be more intuitive for a Windows user who already knows how to select multiple rows of a grid, to be able to act on the selection.Can someone advise me on the code to put in the click handler?Thanks..Monty.Ps. Currently, to create a BOL we have to manually add the customer id, the ship to id and the order number into the BOL screen to populate our custom form.One problem we’ve found is that if we add a one-time ship-to to our order, it does not populate to the BOL. We do not save most of our OTST addresses because they are one-time use.My thought is to add a button to the Order Entry screen to take all the information necessary from that screen and populate the custom BOL document. We cannot add it to the shipment screen as the BOL is created before the shipment to send to the carrier to order the truck and the PCID’s are not assigned until the truck arrives.Has anyone done this or have any tips on accomplishing this? I am testing Kinetic 2023.1 for our upcoming upgrade and can’t find a Comments section in the Purchase Order when in the browser. I’m sure I missed something obvious but, Google is not helping me today. I see it in the Header tab and Line Tab in Classic view but not in Kinetic.
Last week we had an issue where we could not get a PO to print for a supplier. Turns out it was for a new ship to that is in Canada. When I looked at System Monitor the error referenced a STRING_SPLIT error.Contacted Epicor and googled it and got a recommendation to up our compatibility level on the SQL Server 2017 to the 140 level from the 120 level I had it set on. Great PO and Subcontract Pack Slip now printed.However, there were some SSRS custom reports that started taking 3-5 minutes to render where they had been seconds. Not all reports, just some. And when those were running the SQL Server CPU pegged out at 100%. Not good. I contacted Epicor again, since they assured me that upping that level would not affect anything else in our system. I put compatibility back at 120 since the Intern’l supplier POs will be few and far between so I’ll just work around it. But now there is a dashboard that shows a “Bad SQL Statement - See Logs” error. When I review the logs, it shows that same S
Hello, An ongoing problem that I have been running into is that sometimes our personnel who enter quotes will “create” their own part numbers. They are not actual part numbers that exist in the part master. The problem is that this is an allowed action that, as far as I know, isn’t something that can be disabled.To summarize a long story, this quote turns into a job which creates a record. I am ordering material after the job is created. This is resulting in unit of measurement conflicts at the purchase order level (I need to order in LBS but we record our material in Inches). If I try to turn the part number that was created at quotation into an actual part number, I am not able to change the unit of measurement class. This is the main issue. My solution as of now is to slightly alter the part number by adding a 0 or some other value so I can add a part number with the correct unit of measurement class. Then, I need to go into the job and change the raw material part # in there as wel

Looking to see how others are providing live data to users? We are on SaaS, not sure if that makes a difference. Currently, we are using OData connected to live and/or a PowerBI connection to a replicated database.We have some concerns about OData because it hits our live database and is setup with a single account that we have to remote into the computer to enter credentials. Plus, we are unable to track what reports are connected to Epicor through OData. Are there ways we can track what is connected to Epicor via OData? Does OData need a security manager level user account? Should we look into Access Scope? The OData user account got locked out during our upgrade and we are unable to determine why. Thank you,Amy
If you’re working with UserCodes (also called UDCodes) and you’re getting the “input string was not in a correct format” when you explicitly specify the Code ID field, make sure your UD Code Type is not set to autonumber. Autonumbering is a great feature as far as it goes, but if you change your mind and start putting alphanumeric code IDs in the database, the next time you try to create a UDCodes record, Epicor attempts to auto-number and throws the error when it assumes purely numeric Code IDs are in use.HTHMonty.
We are cleaning up some unclosed Sales Orders from several years ago but when trying to close the orders get the message about their being referenced by at least one material queue. I have looked all over for the dashboard for the Material Request Queue but can’t find a menu item for Advanced Materials Management (licensed) except under Data Collection and that one has no General Operations sub-menu.This is for Kinetic 2021.2.9 - Any idea where I can delete items from the queue?Thanks,-Todd C.
We would like to allow our non-exempt (and exempt) employees to use a 9/80 work schedule. Does anyone else have this, and if so, how can I set up in EPICOR? Note: we use the MES and regular timekeeping system hours for external payroll reporting as well.In order for a 9/80 to work for hourly employees, the pay period has to end mid-day on Friday.Employees work this 2 week schedule:
I created an AP invoice and payment on a manual ACH in BPS. The bank provides a confirmation sheet, which I used to create the manual ACH payment. The bank statement came at the end of the week and the total deducted from our account was a totally different amount (less than invoice), due to currency conversion. I cannot “void” an ACH payment. I cannot adjust the invoice, after the payment has posted. There is no write-off function in AP, such as in AR where they are able to write off bank transaction fees, etc. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas how I can resolve my problem?
With the changes to our contracts with both ConnectShip and Pierbridge as a result of Agile Los Angeles’ closure, it’s time for us to look around to see if what alternatives are out there.Is anyone using something other than QuickShip or AgileManifest? Hi Guys,Was looking for a bit of help/advice please - we are currently going through implementing Kinetic and are around 8 months into the implementation process (we are not far off POC)One issue we are having or finding is the shipment process in the system.We have 1000s of manufactured and purchased products and every we make is bespoke to customer design. We also stock so orders that are ready to be shipped aren’t always dispatched straight away.Currently we keep a google sheet document that is a visual transport board for the entire company. Sales administrators dictate what goes on the board and when its going out. Its a mixture of customer shipments (identified via sales order numbers) customer collections (from us) supplier Collections (collect from them via hired transport) and a few others. Day to day view listed by customer and then the orders going out for that customer.Transport use this board to forward plan loads. Its also a visual aid for sales to see when the orders hav
We are using backwards (infinite) scheduling to schedule a job.At the beginning of the job we set up the operations with the Finish to start or Finish to Finish relationships, and backward schedule the job from the required date. This generates the scheduled Start and Finish dates that we use for our plans.However, once we have started to book actual hours and quantities to a job, when the job is re-scheduled, this is taken into account, and the planned start and finish dates change.Is there a way of running scheduling without taking into account "actuals already clocked", so that we can see the original planned start and end dates?Thanks.
