Hello all,I have written an updateable dashboard to assist with inventory counts, displaying info from PartWhse. There are a couple of UD fields, both checkboxes, that are updateable on the dashboard. All works as per spec, the user can check or uncheck the flags and it saves back to the DB table just fine.However, I would like to give the user the option of checking or unchecking the checkboxes for all rows to save time, so thinking of adding buttons to the dashboard tracker view. I created a test button and got as far as having the wizard create the private static void, but that’s where my expertise ends! I tried using a foreach statement on ttResults but the Script Editor doesn’t recognise the name.Has anyone done anything like this before?Peter
I am looking for some help in updating some customizations that didn't fully convert on my test environment. We are trying to setup Epicor to send e-invoices. I have set the options in Company Configuration, Customer, Email Template, Transaction Document Maintenance, and Report Style Maintenance.I can generate the e-invoice in AR Invoice Tracker and I see the PDF file that was generated in the location specified in Company Configuration. However, when I go to send it I get a message “There are no attachments to invoice xxxxxx. Nothing to send.”. If I look at attachments in Invoice Tracker, it does not show any files. Did I miss a step or setting?
I am trying to come up with a custom solution, and I’m hoping someone here can guide me in the right direction.In AR Invoice Entry, I have created a custom epiButton on the Header tab. When an invoice is displayed in the window, I would like to check the value in a checkbox01 custom field in the Customer Group table, for the customer that is assigned as the sold to on the invoice. I would then like to enable/disable the epiButton based on if the checkbox field value is True or False.I have so far created a BPM that fires on the Erp.ARInvoice.GetByID event. At this point I’m not sure where/how to add custom code that would go to the CustGroup table and grab the checkbox01 value, and then set the Enabled properties of the epiButton.I also have the Epicor Customization Tools add-in extension for Visual Studio. Would it be better to program the logic in that rather than the BPM? If so, how can I add in any references to the CustGroup table, or run a BAQ looking at CustGroup?Any advice
We have some employees who are material handlers (they issue material at point of use in the shop), who continue to mistakenly issue from a Supplier Managed bin when they should be issuing from the bin in their area. This is causing headaches for purchasing, finance and the supplier. Is there a way to restrict transactions from a supplier managed bin to a select group of employees? We have trained and retrained and still they make this mistake. The bins have very different names 0002 vs FUTURE. Looking for guidance.
Hi,When I navigate the EUG website to the Webinar page under Content I get a cacophony of noise through my speakers. The site appears to play all the webinar’s sound simultaneously. I can’t find a way to stop this. I have had a colleague do the same and he get the same problem.Is there a problem with the website? RegardsIan
HI Everyone I upgraded our test server to 184.108.40.206 and now have a funny error message which to me seems that iis is not binding to 443 or something like that. The Epicor client is trying to update. It references a .zip file and while extracting files it stops (different files each time) and says a local file header is corrupt. I have changed the permissions on the whole Epicor sub-tree and all child objects for full control but that is not working this time.Once upon a time I believe I had to delete everything under the Epicor root folder to resolve something like this but it has been a long time and then it was on-prem and not Cloud. I have to think this is a known issue and there is a procedure to get around it.Any ideas?Thanks,-Todd C.
Hi All,First post on the forum as a member of Epicor Users and new to Kinetic! :)We have recently begun our Epicor journey and have begun the Pre-implementation training supplied by Epicor directly to introduce Epicor Kinetic Saas to the business.I have had an open support call with Epicor now for over a week to try and resolve an issue with regards to E-mail setup which is currently preventing me from being able to add any new users to the system.We have Office 365 but Epicor have recommended us setting up mail settings using SendGrid (as this is how most clients setup) and i have followed their advice to do this. However, I have not been able to resolve the issue and i get an error message when trying to send a test email.Has anyone implementing Saas had a similar issue? I have it setup as below as per advised by Epicor directly.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Luke (Sherwood Stainless & Aluminium Ltd)
I have a BAQ that displays all partnum, warehouse, and bin and current on hand balance if it is below 0. It is our negative balance report. I want to add a column that displays the total site quantity so the user can easily see if we are actually negative or if the inventory is just in the wrong warehouse. I cannot figure out how to get it to work to sum the site quantity and add that as an additional column into the original BAQ. Has anyone done something similar that can provide me some instruction? We are running the most recent version Kinetic 2022.2.
I've written a BPM that send up an exception when certain part numbers are entered on Sales Orders, based on our part number nomenclature. Unfortunately, over the years this nomenclature hasn't been strictly adhered to, so I'm having to get "extra" to exclude the correct parts and cannot get a wildcard to work correctly in a condition.For example, a standard part number may be something like A1454C-3-CI, where the "-3-" refers to the part category. Those are easy to exclude. However, there's also ones like A1454C-3PBA-CI, so I'm trying to get it to trigger on part numbers that contain "-3%-", but that string doesn't work. It doesn't like my percent sign between the 3 and the dash. Works great in a BAQ, but can't get it to work in the BPM, even though it doesn't throw any syntax errors.Is there a different wildcard that I should be using than % (already tried both * and ^ to no different results).
Hi,I imported a solution file that contained a number of UD fields. When I load any module with these UD fields, I get the following error(s) for each field. The only thing I thought to try was a data regen and IIS recycle, which had no effect.Has anyone ever had success importing UD fields from one DB to another?Thanks.
Our fiscal year follows the calendar year which is fine. However, there are times when we need to run a report for a date range that may start in the previous year. Is there any way to do that in Epicor ? I don’t see any options for that in the standard financial reports. We are on version 18.104.22.168
I’m scheduling our annual physical count next month and looking for advice on quick count entry for serialized parts.We have about 6 part numbers with higher than normal stock levels at this time, ranging from a few hundred to 18,000. I really don’t want to enter 20K count tags!Has anyone found a faster way of entering this info? Even using the export to excel and paste insert into count tag entry, it will take me 15 hours to enter one part number.We are on the latest version, but not using many of the kinetic screens yet.TIA
Seeing this error when trying to save 1 qty nonconformance on a 1qty job in Data Collection. NCR was not created. Serial number confirmed toi hav 1 qty assigned. Was able to create the nonconformance from the ERP system. What does this error mean?
We have an order where the customer only wants invoice 90% at the time of shipment, then the balance after documentation is sent.We do not want to have seperate lines on the order for this.Does anyone have a similiar situation and did you do anything in Epicor to communicate this?
Controlling the Inventory Adjustment account used for cycle count variances, physical inventory variances, cost variances created during the mfg-stk transaction
We want cost adjustments (adj-cst) created when an mfg-stk transaction to point to a different g/l account than quantity adjustments. Is there a way to specify a reason code for these transactions as opposed to the system using the gl control for Inventory COS in the company configuration record?For cycle count variances & physical inventory variances - is there a way to specify a reason code as opposed to the system using the gl control code in company configuration?
Hi all.Serval of our forms we require our customer to sign. Such as a quotation form We use Kinetic / SSRS report builder / PDF report. This is emailed to the customer as an attachment file. - is there a method to create an electronic form, where the customer can insert an e-signature and submit the form?We are trying to make it easier for our customers to sign and agree to the quotation without having to print, sign, scan and attached on a return email There is several applications such as Jot form or Docusign for electronic forms. Has anyone found something that works with Epicor / SSRS? Thanks Tom
Currently the only way we know to get the link between Requisition and Purchase order is to create the PO through New PO suggestions. There are times when we do not want to wait until after MRP/Generate PO suggestions are run and want/need to get the Purchase order created.Does anyone know if they is possible and how?Thank you
