Hi,

When I navigate the EUG website to the Webinar page under Content I get a cacophony of noise through my speakers. The site appears to play all the webinar’s sound simultaneously. I can’t find a way to stop this. I have had a colleague do the same and he get the same problem.

Is there a problem with the website?

Regards

Ian

I have the same issue it seems to be playing all the audio for video content at the same time

Hi Keith,

Good, it’s not just me then!

Not sure how you log a problem with the EUG website. Hopefully someone who does will see this.

Yes, I understand that, but I believe it must be because the recording of the “Effortlessly Integrate Your Machines With Epicor Using Harmoni” webinar conducted last Wednesday is set up for auto-play as soon as anyone connects to the webinars page.  I wanted to know which webinar Ian was trying to review in order to provide a URL specifically for that video.  In any case, as soon as you connect to the webinars page, try immediately refreshing the page.  For me, that stops the audio.

Hi Scott,

I was going to the Webinar section for the “Harmoni” webinar because I missed it on Wednesday. I never get that far as just accessing the Webinar’s section as Keith says start all the audio playing at the same time. Refreshing the page doesn’t help me it just starts again.

Interesting… reloading the page was working for me every time I tried that, but now it isn’t working.  Which browser are you using?

Try the following link to jump directly to the Harmoni webinar…

https://www.epicorusers.org/webinars/?vimeography_gallery=27&vimeography_video=772112316

Hi Scott,

I am using Edge.

The link doesn’t send me to the Harmoni webinar, but it does allow me to select it without all the other webinars starting.

Thanks for your help.

Ian

Here is a good synopsis on how to subdue Autoplay controls, on a browser by browser basis.

Just friendly advice - I would STRONGLY suggest NOT adding any extension, if offered to you to simplify any browser config settings, rather just master your settings of your browsers.  Each has the controls you need with a just a bit of digging.  Extensions can be misleading at best and dangerous at worst.  Always read up on any extensions & explore what safety sites have to say first:

Read neutral reviews and user ratings at least before saying yes to anything that alters your browsers.  Safe browsing all!

Thanks, everyone, for your input!  We have now heard from our site provider that it’s fixed, and I’ve returned to the page and it’s not auto-starting for me.  Please re-test, and let us know.

All best,

……..Monty.
