Currently the only way we know to get the link between Requisition and Purchase order is to create the PO through New PO suggestions.
There are times when we do not want to wait until after MRP/Generate PO suggestions are run and want/need to get the Purchase order created.
Does anyone know if they is possible and how?

Run the Generate Suggestions process.
Note: Be careful about bypassing new purchase suggestions. The system will want to create a suggestion if it is not linked to a PO. Orphan records between Purchase Orders and Requisitions are hard to deal with.
Some of our companies have created email alerts that a new Requisition has been approved for Purchasing. That informs our Buyers and interested parties that a Requisition is waiting to be turned into a PO. Buyers could then run Generate PO Suggestions and process the Requisition information.
Another more difficult option would be to replicate the Generate PO Suggestions process for the Requisition and create the records with a BPM. Buyers could then open New PO Suggestions and process them thru like normal.

I do like the idea of a BPM, to generate the records, only because it would be more real time.
Not having to wait for our MRP/Generate PO Suggestions at night, or have someone manually run it, which prevents other buyers from using suggestions.

When our users go into Requisition Entry and the REQ gets sent to Purchasing it immediately show's in New PO Suggestions. In your situation after a REQ was sent to Purchasing “/Generate PO suggestions” still needs to run manually or Via MRP to see the REQ in New PO Suggestions?
