Problem with Commission calculation under Quote Entry – Worksheet Tab

We have noticed a problem with the Commission calculation under Quote Entry, Worksheet Tab.As commission is paid on the final sales price, the unit price to be quoted including commissioning (to ensure you get the desired mark-up or profit) should be:(Cost of part with mark-up) / ( 1 - Commission Rate)However it seems to be calculating as:(Cost of part with mark-up) * ( 1 + Commission Rate)So once the sales commission is paid, the amount of sales value that we receive is less than it should be.The commission calculation should ensure that, after commission is paid, we receive the full sales value (which is the cost plus the mark-up).See comparison of how Kinetic is calculating commission and how it should be calculated to ensure that we receive the full sales value (which is the cost plus the mark-up).

Duplicate parts on BAQ

HelloI can’t figure out why my BAQ is showing duplicate part #’s.  Parts have multiple revisions but I have a criteria for approved Revisions as true.  It is still pulling up both revisions.  What am I missing?

What Makes PO Suggestions Not Be Deleted By Regenerative?

K22.1 Multi-company, multi-plant.We run Generate PO Suggestions on a schedule, regenerative.  But we notice there are ten records in SugPoDtl that are still there with create dates in the past, some of them months ago. What can make a PO suggestion record stick around and NOT be deleted by the next Generate PO Suggestions run? Thanks!……...Monty.

Standard cost change without revaluing inventory

My company is looking to use the standard costing method for its purchased parts. However we find that updating the standard cost of a part revalues its inventory on hand. In the case of a standard cost increase, this behavior does not comply with IFRS accounting standards, as they only allow an adjustment increasing the inventory value when it is to reverse a previously-made write-down. Does anyone have a way to work around this issue?

subcontract operations

We have two releases for a customer that have pinning subcontract operation.  Two jobs are created.  We only have a total of 12000 pcs on order with customer.  But we always over produce cause the operation takes a while, so we like to have more in stock.  How does this work?  Do i have to do a PO with multiple lines so it pulls in each job? Also do I just create a quick job for the extra pieces that we will just keep here?

UBAQ REST Call from JitterBit Error 400

I am using JitterBit to do a “PUT BAQ(UBAQ)”.  This is a native endpoint call they provide.  It is the only option for a UBAQ that they offer.  Prior to doing anything in JitterBit I used the Epicor swagger pages to test the UBAQ  here   /EPICORERP/api/help/v1/baq//RFID-UD24(CD)/index#!/OData/update.  I noticed they only have a PATCH but I was under the impression that the JitterBit “POST” would be similar?  In any case, may goal was to call the UBAQ. In Epicor it was configured to only return records in UD24 where Date01 IS NULL.  I set it to only allow updates to the Date01 field as well.  So the user/JitterBit would call the BAQ and provide a list of values that are stored in Key1 .  If there is a Match then update the Date01 filed which is also provided in the request.  This seems to work in the Epicor Swagger.  They provided the input and I filled in as needed and ran it.  The Date01 was updated as expected.  However I did notice that it “ADDED” records that it didn’t find a match

Administrator not setup for Single Sign On Error

Hello All,When our user’s launch E10, it should use their own domain accounts. They are all setup on Epicor for SSO. For some reason we have one user who’s Epicor seems to be running as Administrator every time instead of his own account. I have check the properties of the shortcut and it’s not setup to run as admin. Thanks,-Harry.

What User Manual For Purchase Planning?

K2022.1 Multi-company, Multi-site, classic screens.In what Epicor manual can I find a method for deriving the part planning numbers for purchased items, in order to have the most accurately timed PO suggestions?  These parameters include:Min, max, safety, Re-Order to Max Min Order Qty Lead Time (can be overridden in Supplier Price List) Planning Time Fence, Reschedule Out Delta, Reschedule In Delta Multiple, Min Lot Size, Max Lot Size, Days of Supply Start Min Lot Qty Lead Time (again?) Min Start Qty Horizon Days, Min Lot Size, Max Lot Size, Days of Supply (Short Horizon)I’m not asking for field documentation on these fields, but instead an Epicor manual that documents what calculations we should do, on order to calculate the fields above.Thanks,...Monty.

We have purchased a handheld to pick and process shipments, then discovered we need Packout to use the handheld.Now that we have Packout we are trying to understand the process in order to get it setup.Our current setup is:Enter an Order Enter a job if needed, all our jobs are make to stock Shipping runs the pick list to see what’s due to ship, goes to the stock locations and pulls the parts Processes shipments with Shipment EntryMy question is, do I need to follow the flow of Packout in order to use the handheld?Enter Order, now select “Ready to Fill” Run the Fulfillment Workbench Use the Material Que Process the Packout Make a Master Pack Stage/ConfirmThank you,Missy

Update PO due date from New PO Suggestion - Material List tab

Is it possible to update PO due date from New PO Suggestion - Material List tab?Under the New PO Suggestion screen, we normally review our suggestions from the Material List tab then tick the "Buy" column and generate PO from there.  However, the "Due date" fields on this screen is greyed out (see below). So to update the Due date before the PO is created, we have to go into the Suggestion - Detail tab and in there the Due Date is field is NOT greyed out (see below).  Is it possible to update PO due date from New PO Suggestion - Material List tab?Thanks.

Alternate overhead rate methods

We manufacture many different kinds of athletic goods.  Our factory is much more like a job shop than an assembly line.  We have used labor as our driver for our overhead rate for years.  We are now investing heavily in robotics.  We are concerned that we are not allocating our costs appropriately across our products.  Is anyone using a different driver (i.e. denominator, [Rate = Overhead Cost Pool/Labor Hours]) besides labor and if so, how do you implement in Epicor?  In particular, is anyone using Activity Based Costing (ABC)?

Incoterms on a Purchase Order?

I see where I can enter the “FOB” on a purchase order, which I’m assuming is intended for domestic suppliers.  If I want to enter an actual Incoterm, EXW for example, is there an Incoterms field available on Purchase Order entry?  Maybe hidden?  I would not want to use the “FOB” field as that in itself is its own Incoterm and would be confusing to the supplier if my PO stated “FOB EXW”.

Can We Make Epicor Post AR Bank Deposits In Summary

2022.1 Epicor Kinetic with Classic screens, multi-company, multi-plant.Our head of Finance for USA is asking about how Epicor processes cash receipt groups.   When we make a bank deposit, she wants the posting to be a single sum of money, to make it easier to process the bank statement.  But instead it’s getting posted as all the individual payments we’re processing.  I’ve found a couple of posts here on the EUG with the same complaint, many years ago, but no one had a solution to make the system post the sum instead of the individual components.Please share any solutions or workarounds you’ve found for dealing with this.Thanks much...Monty.

Automated Entry of Price List

Hi Everyone, Happy New Year!I was wondering if anyone had a (great) system for automating the entry of supplier prices in the Price List on the Part File.We have ECM and Forms. I was wondering if we could create a Form that the supplier enters the price and terms in and it will update the price list. I do have someone here who can make a form and set it up to attach to the part using ECM, but I dont want the Quote/Price to just be a document attachment, I want it actually entered in the price list.I have automated the RFQ process by using a data directive. I have a custom field that can be checked in the Part file and it will send a RFQ email to those suppliers in the DD. They ideally reply to the email with the pricing. If they attach a quote, the attachment is saved on the Part File Document Attachments, but the price still has to be manually entered into the price list.I know there is ECM Automation available, but it seems to be to be a lot of work to map all my different supplier’s

CDC

I am trying to set up the change data capture in my test environment. CDC log processor and notification sender are running constantly, recycling every 31 minutes. The rule I am using for testing is simple: “a QuoteDtl_UD field value changes”. Somehow changes captured are not pushed to my subscriber’s queue.
