when we migrated to Epicor, the company that helped with the migration told us that Epicor was unable to do this, and yet Plex online is not even a viable competitor and it handled the task perfectly fine. what classes should i focus on at insights to find these answers? We are an open die forging company and we want to have visiility into reorder estimations based on tooling life.

One approach is to create a part for the tool.
Place the tool on the bill of material with a quantity per parent.
If your tool should be reviewed every 1,000 parts - set the minimum qty on the part to 0
Adjust into inventory 1,000.
When the inventory drops to zero or below, create a job to review the tool etc.

Could you set the tool up as a part and make it Lot Controlled? You can identify an expiry date, and a date to last use, which in other businesses would indicate after that date, the item cannot be used within the manufacturing process. This along with
