Custom button on MES

We added a custom button to MES, works fine, however locks the MES screen, cannot move it or open anything else.

Is this functionality per design or did we miss a setting somewhere?

I would open a case on Ice Tools.  Although it’s a custom feature, the framework is supported by Epicor and often they’re helpful in determining what’s going wrong with a toolbox feature.
