On 10/1/2021, we went live with Avalara. With the assistance of our Epicor Tax Connect consultant, I imported all invoice transactions from 1/1/2021 to 9/30/2021. Our AvaTax home page now shows a map of states where Avalara thinks we close to, or over, Economic Threshold. But, when looking at the details, I see that Avalara is not taking into account tax exempt invoices in SOME states that do NOT count toward Economic Thresholds.
Is this a fundamental limitation of Avalara’s ability to accurately compute Economic Nexus?
Or is this some effect of how we imported past invoices prior to going live with Avalara?
