I am trying to find out how the Global Lot Sequence process works. We have a sequence setup that started in 2014 with a lot prefix of A and then a sequential number. I can see on the Lot Generate tab on the Part that parts have differing Prefixes A to I which initially i thought was based on when the part was setup, but that is wrong.
Can anyone advise how this works as speaking with people internally, no one knows who does what when it comes to adding sequences and how parts get assigned sequences?
