Hello,

Just wondering if anyone in EUG that their company is required to follow ITAR policies. If you do, will you willing to share how they dealt with the requirements using Epicor?

Ex. how do you dealt with Part rev to be ITAR controlled with it material components.

Thanks

Sang

Hello Sang,

We deal with ITAR & EAR export compliance at a very basic level.  We are able to control our identifiers at the Part level via the Part / Integrations form and report out based on this data to our company control policies & procedures.

Happy to discuss in more detail.

Hi Sang,

We have customized Epicor for ITAR parts.

For purchased ITAR parts, we have a ITAR user defined field in Part Entry.  We also have a ITAR user defined field in Supplier Entry.  We have a Purchase Order customization that checks to ensure that an ITAR part is being purchased from an ITAR supplier.

For manufactured ITAR parts, we have a Shipping customization that ensures that we are shipping ITAR manufactured parts within the US.

Thanks all the great replies!

Sang, We are new to Epicor and we’re using the Kinetic Cloud (gov cloud to be precise). I see this is an old post, but I’m curious if you were able to get the answer you were looking for.

We are a government contractor and obligated to NIST 800-171/CMMC and we have to be extremely careful with export compliance. Is your business commercial or gov?
