I am sure I am missing something obvious. Our COA has 5 segments. To use the STD posting rules Division and Department substitution logic I must need to map which segment is Division and which is Department. Seems like it should be in the COA maintenance but I can’t find it.
So the question is how does Epicor know which segment is Division and which is Department?

Go to the Book Maintenance screen under General Ledger setup on the Posting tab and then the Conversion tab.

Just for future reference (for anybody looking for the same thing), it was also necessary to reimport the Posting Rules (in my case for Fixed Assets) and select “Force Manual Selection of Books and Segments”. This allows mapping of the business entities to the chart segments.
