Do you use a 3rd party scheduling software? If so, does it feedback into Epicor? How do you handle procurement for the schedule adjustments? We are looking for a solution on how to resolve losing sight of some jobs and missing order due dates. We have an issue with what we have dubbed the “Tornado Effect”, when running multiple jobs for the same part then operations of the same job keep widen (ie: Operation 10 & Operation 20 on JobA are together but then on JobB Operation 10 starts before Operation 10 on JobA and operation 20 on JobB start after operation 20 on JobA. Job C oper10 would start before JobB oper10 etc.) We have tried to build our parts in a different way. We have tried to separate our jobs (molding from final assembly). Using another scheduling software was suggested brainstorming idea. Any insight on how the flow works between the two pieces of software and other modules in Epicor would be helpful.
