I notice that in my live database which was upgraded from 9.05 to 10.1 then upgraded again to 10.2, we have many custom field names (UD fields) which do NOT end in _c which is the default protocol for field naming in E10. The other day I tried to create one of these fields, and UD Column Maintenance kept changing it back to the name with _c on the end.
I think back in 10.0 or 10.1 we were able to remove the _c and have it stick. Has Epicor changed this software so it’s no longer allowed? Has anyone found a way to create custom fields in 10.2 without the _c on the end?
I do understand that the purpose is to avoid naming collisions, and I’m interested in understanding whether it’s possible, not whether we should do it.
