We have recently migrated from E10.1.400.20 on Premise to Kinetic in the Cloud.Prior to the ‘upgrade’ the InvWIPRec report used to take ~ 7 minutes to complete.Since the move to Kinetic it’s now taking in excess of 3 hours (for a months data).The other frustration is that now we’ve lost access to Crystal reports we seem to have to run the report twice - once as a pdf (for audit purposes) and then again as a CSV (which we use for analysis).In E10 we used to be able to preview and then either export to csv and/or print to pdf.We do not have an excessive number of transactions per month (~400-500 pages of pdf report).Epicor are suggesting that the issue relates to old Nil Value ADJ-CST transactions that are not being posted to the GL and are being evaluated each time the report is run. Their solution is to flag the transactions as ‘posted to GL’. I run the report from 01/01/2020 to end of current period (31/03/2022) to pick up any old transactions.The report takes 6 minutes to clear data
Hoping for some guidance.We’re in the process of moving to Epicor in the Cloud at which point I’m going to lose access to my Excel SQL Views that are currently linked to the database on Prem.I’ve been advised that i need to use REST to link Excel to Epicor BAQs stored in the cloud to provide similar functionality to my current linked SQL views.I can access the BAQs via REST but am frustrated that the linked data is pulling through the Field names such as Invcdtl.InvoiceNum rather than the BAQ Label from the BAQ that displays in the BAQ preview and the Dashboards.Does anyone know if there is any way to get REST to pull through the Labels rather than the full field names?Sorry if this is a novice question.CheersMartin
We’ve finally started utilising the BAQ tile functionality that appeared in E10.They’re very useful for displaying simple exception BAQs that are refreshed on a regular basis but recently the formatting of the tiles has started to get messy.The BAQs display simple queries containing a limited number of fields to ensure the data does not wrap.I’m finding that occasionally the tiles are displaying both horizontal data as well as vertical data in the same tile which is most frustrating.We’re using 10.1.400.20.I’ve attached a screen grab of the type of issue I’m experiencing.If anyone is aware of any bugs or work-arounds i’d love to hear.CheersMartin
