All, I have a question on which I have NOT been able to find any info. We have a purchased part used in an operation that is marked as Backflush, with a primary bin and warehouse. The part is also marked as Backflush. The primary bin on this part is an SMI however. The part is not backflushing when the operation is complete, even with enough quantity for the operation. Can you backflush from an SMI bin or not?

Hi

I believe that in order to trigger the appropriate PO/AP transactions you have to move the stock from the SMI bin to a standard bin - then issue/backflush from there

Yes, you can backflush from an SMI bin.

If the primary bin of the part is the SMI bin and it's not backflushing from that bin then the part must be backflushing from the backflush bin in the Resource Group. if you eliminate the inventory from the backflush bin in the Resource Group then the part by default will backflush from the SMI primary bin.

Hope this helps.
