Hi,

Is there a quick way to add lots of lines to a Sales Order.

When our CSR team receive a PO from one of our customers oin PDF form they then have to create a Sales Order which can contain 70+ lines of parts. Is there an excel format they can use to paste insert to create the lines in mass rather than doing it one by one in Epicor.

Start a new sales order and then create a new sales order line.  Before filling in any information go to the Line > List view and right click on any field and select “Copy to Excel” form the list.  You will get a template to fill out in Excel.  You can then right click on the blank line again and Paste > Insert as many rows as you want back into the grid.

Alternately, you could enter a line and then see how the data looks in Excel before filling out the template for the remaining lines.

If you already have a source document from which you can copy, a different approach is to open Order entry and in the grid of lines, alter the order of columns to match the order of data in your source document.  That way you can normally copy and paste insert from your source document
