GL Account Current Balance

K22.1 Multi-company, multi-plant, fiscal year not aligned with calendar year

 

In a BAQ, given a GL account number, I need to find the current account balance.  I’ve been searching; does anyone have a short cut?  It appears to me that a nice decimal number in a table entry for the account, does not exist.

Monty, I usually use the period balance table.

Thanks Paul!  That’s GLPeriodBal.  I’m reviewing the fields now, to see if any of them will suffice for what the person is trying to see, which is the actual, real-time balance in the account.

It looks like BalanceAmt is the field I need.  Is this maintained through the month, or does it show the balance at the time of the most recent monthly close?

It should be updated as items are “posted”.

For financial modules, that is when the “Group” is posted.

For Manufacturing modules, that is when Capture COS is run.
