Not all entry screens have the memo functionality, understandably.
However, is there a way to add this to a table.
Example. we would like to add a memo / memo category to receipt entry / receipt tracker. For the purpose of catgorizing PO delivery lateness.
Or does anyone have a suggestion on how to manage. I other thought is to use a UD table.

#1 - would be a customization that would need to be upgraded with each patch/version.
#2 - would be just adding one field and turning on change logs.
#3 - this would provide Vendor performance analysis through QA as well as track the receipt reason for being late.

Not sure I understand what you are trying to capture
We have dashboards that utilize BAQ’s to determine if the receipt is Early, On-Time, or Late based on comparing the Receipt Date to the Promise Date of the PO line. If the number of days between the Receipt Date and PO Line Promise Date are greater than or less than 3 days from the promise date, we classify that shipment as being On-Time. Outside of that +/- 3 day window, the shipment is either Early or Late.
Placing a Memo field onto the Receipt Entry screen, would that provide the information you require to perform you measurements? Would the receiving person know why the shipment is early or late?
