We are looking to see how other manufacturing organizations, using Epicor, handle operation steps that take more time than allocated.
Can you provide some insight as to how you handle the following within your manufacturing organization:
- When an operation step takes longer than what is entered as the estimated duration, how is the operator notified?
- When an operation step takes longer than what is entered as the estimated duration, is there a notification sent to a production team leader / production manager via email?
- How do organizations investigate the reason for the over-run, in as close to real time as possible, as a notification will need to be raised immediately?
- Do organizations use an amount or percentage of allowable over-run duration, before notification of over-run?
