Safety alerts / Tracking / Corrective actions

Is anyone using any of the Kinetic-ERP modules to capture safety alerts / corrective actions?

We are currently using the Maintenance Mgt, with a scheduling priority of Safety, and issues of Safety. 

We are thinking of using the Corrective Action app to capture / process corrective actions related to safety improvements.

Using Nonconformance type = Other, with reason codes for Safety related concerns/problems.

We could address it there, and/or move into a corrective action for improvement tracking.

Thoughts?

Dear Laird, 

Reviewing the application help for Corrective Actions, it looks like it’s intended to work with the Nonconformance application to track the correction of specific discrepant items.  For example, if you have 100 widgets on hand, and 20 of those are found to have a safety issue, you would use this module.  But you wouldn’t want to track changes to the widget part number in general, for example, recalls that apply to the part in general, not to specific items in that part number.  Is that your understanding of the tools?
