We have setup serial tracking, tested and ready to go live.
We have setup our live environment, created jobs, and assign serial numbers to them.
No activity, now we need to change the serial masking.
Is it possible to delete the jobs, delete the serial numbers.
Or is it best to just close the job(s) and deploy a new serial number format?
For another issue, if we have been producing parts with a serial number format for years, and now we want to contining making the same part number with a new serial number format, is it as simple has changing it on the part record?
