When an item is late, we would like to attach a reason, and comments.
Is anyone doing this inside of Kinetic-ERP.
We looked around and thought it would be great to use the memo process if related to the receipt header/dtl but it is note.
Another idea is to use a UD table auto populat when a receipt is late, then add comments.
Thoughts anyone?
One approach is one or more UD fields on the PO Receipt table.
Could use an updateable dashboard (or something fancier) to populate the notes.
However, a warning is that these are hard to keep up with, and I have often seen these “process improvements” quickly fade and stop being used….

If these reason codes don’t match up to any of the Epicor Reason Code categories, you could build them into UDCodes (User Codes) so they can be picked from a dropdown in the updateable dashboard. To Paul’s point, any management interested in knowing the reason codes, will probably have an interest in reviewing regularly, to make sure they’re not being skipped. For that monitoring, you could provide a read-only version of the query that filters the last 30 days for example. Also, a BPM could be made to throw an exception if the receiving person does not pick a reason, if you’re capturing them at that point.
