Question

Who closed a bunch of Jobs?

Yesterday someone closed a bunch of jobs that we didn’t want closed. I’ve looked at the JobHead table, the JobAudit table, and the JobClosingLog table. None of them show me who closed these jobs.

I even looked in System Monitor to see if there was a record in History Tasks (I set it to Display all tasks in the Actions menu) but I didn’t see anything in there.

Does anyone know if there’s a way for me to tell who did this?

This won’t help you for what happened yesterday but it will for the future.  You have to set-up the change log BPM:

Then all the changes are visible from Job Entry:

In addition to Change log you may also want to set up Field Level permissions for “JobHead.JobClosed” make read only for everyone and full access to those that need that power.

+1 to Paula’s suggestion.  In previous versions of Epicor I heard unfortunate stories of performance hits when field permissions were used.  But since 10.1 I haven’t heard of this issue.

@colemanp @kskipper  or use group security setting to allow certain users whom belong to this specific group to perform close job's method, very straightforward
