Need solution for Avalara AvaTax TLS 1.2 requirement for Tax Connect in E9 and Vantage

Avalara Inc. intends to deprecate TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 in December of 2022, which will break the connection to Avalara's AvaTax service for ERP 10.0.X.X through ERP 10.2.300.X customers and for those who use the older offerings of ERP 9 and Vantage / Vista 8. ( Reference article https://help.avalara.com/Frequently_Asked_Questions/Avalara_-_Knowledge_Base/ACTION_NEEDED%3A_Update_Transport_Layer_Security_to_TLS_1.2?origin=deflection )  The article mentions 1/15/2022 but, according to Epicor Support, Avalara have decided to delay End of Life for TLS 1.0 and for TLS 1.1 until December 2022.Epicor policy-wise, Epicor ERP 9 and Vantage have been in sustaining support (as opposed to active support) for many years and therefore are not eligible for any type of development work or creation of an Epicor ERP patch to resolve the issue.Can anyone think of a work around solution for implementing TLS 1.2 for E9?  Perhaps using a proxy service or some intermediary measure?

So Cal EUG Meeting Oct 13 Location and Topics

SureFire can host the meeting next Tuesday, or we can rent a conf room for approximately $300.   Any preferences?  The conference rooms I have reserved at SureFire are at the location 17680 Newhope St., Fountain Valley (not the one that was on Mt. Herrmann St.)  This location requires ITAR compliance which means there is a registration process to fill out paperwork to identify citizenship, show Driver's License or photo id, and do a denial database look-up.  If SureFire provides the conf room is there anyone who can bring refreshments?  What about agenda topics?  I am going to ask Scott McKay, who uses ManFact, to help facilitate a round table discussion on manufacturing.  We can also have a round table discussion on financials.  Can someone volunteer to facilitate the discussion on financials - or select a different topic to facilitate discussion?  Any other topics someone can suggest or can you suggest a presenter?

So Cal EUG Meeting January 2015

The next So Cal EUG regional meeting was tentatively scheduled for January 20, 2015.  I just learned today that several of the Epicor Customer Account Managers (CAMs) will be out of town the week of January 19, attending an Epicor event.  Should the meeting be changed to Tuesday, January 27th? Or, would you prefer to go forward with the meeting on January 20 without the Epicor CAMs?  The So Cal EUG Board is still finalizing the location, but it will probably be in Santa Fe Springs.  The agenda will include a presentation on BPMs in E10 by Matt Hellwig of The Quartz Group.
