Hi, I haven’t done it myself, we started at 10.0.700 and have slowly worked our way up through the various versions.. That being said, E9 (9.05.702A) to Kinetic is a hell of a jump, I would try to find a way to step through the versions, e.g. 10, then 10.1 then 10.2. I know it’s more work but at least that way each database upgrade could be done at the correct stage and it might not fall over. I’ve found that Epicor is usually more forgiving if you work your way through the steps it wants you to LOL I Hope this helps Chris, I had hopes for this migration as Epicor has a 200+ page migration document to go by . An interim database is created during the process to migrate Progress to SQL. I don’t mind running into errors, the issue I have is how long it takes to get resolution of them. I know it is old tech so I anticipate longer response times than usual. I might end up just going to 10 and then going to Kinetic eventually
What I have done is open up the process set that is scheduled and open up the Process MRP portion of it. That is where I set the log file and the logging level. Here’s the odd part: In the Log box where you tell it what to name it, I added MRP and saved to Process Set which works. When I go back in to the same process set and open up MRP, this is what shows in the log portion: C:\epicor\epicordata/Reports/myusername/MRP.TXT My first thought was well there are different slashes in the path that don’t work with Windows file system so I try and replace the / with \ and save to process set and get “Invalid log file name, please remove the file path.”
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately we don’t have a “Companies” folder in E9. It’s location in E9 is EpicorData\reports then the username. Other reports save fine with no issues. It’s just this guy giving me a hard time
