Currently we are running Kinetic 2022.2.14 and we have noticed that when we run the Standard - SSRS style of the BOM Listing Report (running as indented BOM) it shows un-approved revisions on the component parts. When talking to Epicor Support about this we were told:“By design, when creating the Manufacturing Method, the last created and approved Revision is the one that will be chosen. In case you have created both revisions on the same date, then we will take the first one listed in alphanumeric order. The parent will keep the information from when it was created and won’t update even if the user creates new Revisions for Materials or Subassemblies. This is a design limitation. An alternate way to update the parent BOM to the current child Revisions is to remove the Material and re-add it. This will update the Revision to the latest approved Revision you have available for that material.”We asked them if they were going to improve this functionality they said:“There has not been any
Hi we are in the process of testing the new Kinetic 2021.1.12 version of Epicor and have it installed in our test environment. I have created a solution and have turned on solution tracking. I have brought up all our Dashboards in Dashboard Entry and Deployed them by clicking on “Generate Application”. I have edited the form in Application Studio creating a new layer and made changes to it to make look and feel more like it looked in Classic. I have saved these changes and published them. I then went into Menu Maintenance and changed their menu item to read program type “Kinetic App” and selected the customization layer to the new layer I just saved and published. Now we have upgraded our Pilot account to the new Kinetic 2021.1.12 and I have my solution full of all my changes. I built the solution and imported it into our Pilot account. When I click on a dashboard I get an error saying “Cannot Connect, Server not available”. I have to go into Dashboard Entry and deploy it again by c
Hi Everyone, we are running 10.2.700.14 and I have added a new field to our PartXRefMfg table called MLCSPec. We will use this field to enter in spec notes for our manufacturers. We would like this field to be printed on the PO along with the MFG and MFG Part Number. I have copied our PO Form data definition into a new one and made sure the new field was in the list and not excluded. I then created a new report style and copied all the ssrs reports from the standard PO Form Printing into a new custom folder. Then I clicked on the “Sync Dataset” button on the new style to update the PO form .dll. When editing it in SSRS I can see the new field but when I put it on the form it is always null even when I have data in the field on the PartXRefMfg file for the mfg part. The MFG number, MFG Part Number show up without problems but the new field is null. If it do a basic BAQ to look at the field in the BAQ designer there is clearly data in the field. What can I be doing wrong? Is there
