Although we don’t use Inspection Plans, we’d like to ! and we heard about this regression in Kinetic not long after we moved to E10 (Our version of 9 also contained bugs that prevented use of Inspection Plans). I fully sympathise here and I think you’ve been very calm and have every right to be angry - I am and I don’t even use Inspection Plans yet…!Likewise, Ideas is the wrong forum for this glaring omission of Key features and functionality. This really should be top of their agenda to re-instate. The software shouldn’t be out there with this element missing. We’ve raised this with our Account Manager and our technical partners are acutely aware of this as it has affected some of their clients. There are many words I could use here - but won’t. Rest assured I will support your ‘idea’Steve
Following with interest….We too have encountered system behavioural changes as we upgraded from 9 to 10. It would be really good (..essential...) if there was a documented approach from Epicor to scenarios of this nature, and others. We use Production Yield to keep Job quantities in check when scrap is encountered, but have experienced some very different behaviour in 10 involving NCM and DMR that is down-counting job quantities down when this occurs, but not back up if the DMR is ‘accept’ - which is an allowable output from DMR.
We’ve recently upgraded from 9.05.607a to 10.2.700.28 and found it operates differently - causing much confusion. Pre-upgrade it would only down-count when ‘scrap’ was encountered during operation completion. Now it also seems to down-count during NCM, which causes us a lot of issues. The NCM goes to DMR and is found to be acceptable - but the job never goes back up, leaving operations with different quantities to the parts remaining on them. We haven’t even got to Serial Numbers yet ! Anyone else been hit by this change in behaviour?Steve
