Any ideas with this one guys?
Good day Luke, We use both methods of jobs. We use Make to Order for our repair group. We have to send a quote to the customer prior to performing any work to repair the device. Linking the Sales Order to the job, allows us to track the status of the order and follow-up when we do not receive a response from the customer. We use Make to Stock for our OEM items. We keep a very small quantity of inventory on-hand, and for the most part, we ship the manufactured item almost immediately. MRP uses the Sales Order and an entered forecast, to work its magic and tell us what the production schedule looks like. I don’t know if our operations team uses the fulfillment workbench or not, so I do not know what data it shows or how useful it is to us. I do know the supply chain team uses Time Phase quite a bit, and it shows OEM inventory being allocated to sales orders. Not sure if this answers your questions or not, but I can provide more information, if you need it. Hi Glenn, Thanks for you
We are going through a new Epicor Kinetic implementation Which Kinetic version are you implementing, Luke? Hi Scott, its 2023.1.10 Cloud
Anyone have any ideas on this?
Hi Michelle, Thanks for your reply, we have the country set on the boundary already but it doesnt seem to like it. I have the Territories start and end zips set as below on the boundaries but it just pulls directly from the default set in the CRM section in company config, regardless of the post code/state set on the customer. See screenshots below - any ideas?
Hi Calvin - Yes we have the AMM module and we are using the fulfillment workbench for allocating sales order inventory for picking. Its our sales admin team that perform this aspect as we do not always ship out when the stock is available - sometimes we may agree to hold the stock for a period and so sales would trigger the request for it to be shipped using the fulfilment workbench as you describe. What we are struggling with really is the next part of the process. Once it is then picked to go out it seems there isn't really the visibility to show you what orders you have picked or waiting to be picked so transport can try and work out the most cost effective way of shipping it (it could mean bringing the delivery to that customer back or forward to send with something else when we are in the area etc etc) There also isn't the visibility to see other aspects of transport such as collections from suppliers or subcontractors - currently we also take all this into account - we could be i
Hi Monty,My ops consultant is working on a solution to bring all the different types of shipments into one place - Subcontract deliveries/collections, customer shipments/collections, Supplier collections to mimic the viability we currently have for creating loads. He is also going to build a BAQ for me that will show a list of sales orders that have available stock and the date they are due to be shipped but the picked status of these. Sales would then be able to identify if they have forgotten to raise pick requests for the orders. I just thought i would message on here and see if anyone else has made/designed a more complex way of shipping that how Epicor currently deals with it in shipment entry which to me seems very basic and is more geared towards company who just ship out via pallet or parcel network. We use a lot of hired transport where we have to ship multiple customers on one truck to go throughout the country and so we have to try to delay/move shipments to build a load. I
Hi Amy, They resolved it for me through ticket CS0003355451 - think they did an adjustment in the back end. I know you had to set the System mail and report type to Legacy SMTP Then set the credentials in SMTP card Hope this helps
@sue.lowden thank you - this has worked perfectly as a work around. At least now i can get users setup whilst i wait for a fix on the email issue.
I cant seem to actually even get that far - If i create a user and go to “Enable” then it asks me to send a temp password out via email, if i try to do this i get the error message which i have posted previously above. The box to set the temp password to “blank” is greyed out :(
Hi Charles, sorry i do not quite understand. What pop up? Do you mean when you hit “Send Test Email” in mail maintenance? Or are you referring to the user maintenance screen when it trys to email a temporary password to the user for user setup?
Hi Ramon,Many thanks for your reply. I have tried changing the port from 25 to 2525 or 587 via the notes you have sent. I have also tried 465 and enabling SSL (Although not advised to by Epicor) and no luck. When i enable SSL and use 465 it hangs for a while before displaying the same error message as below which i get instantly if i select any of the other ports/disable SSL.
