Hello,I have been using Epicor 1 year. Our previous controller left 3 years ago, and apparently took most of our cost process knowledge with her. We only have material, at average cost, in our Epicor costs, so it would seem this is as simple as it could be. That said, we are confused. I am in Supply Chain and am being asked to explain BOM cost changes from 2 years ago to now.Part Advisor and Completed Jobs show a similar “high cost” over the past yearI have a BAQ with Issued Matieral, that gets within 5% of the Job Cost and Part Advisor.Method Tracker View Costs has three fields, which confuse me:Part Cost is a total only, and it matches the Job Cost and Part Advisor Total Cost has detail, but is low by 5% Unit cost has detail, but is low by 5% and matches TotalWhat is the difference between these three? If there as detail for Part, I could review component differences.I believe that whatever cost from two years ago that has been used as a reference, was not accurate. The costs we
Hello,My collogue and I have been using Epicor for 6 months (replacing two others). We continue to struggle with the MRP generated suggestions related to PO’s. Would anyone be willing to share their settings with a brief explanation as to the benefit? Is there a good practical resource available on this topic? -Todd
We have a situation where we entered a Forecast. The forecast is triggering suggested Jobs at at least two assembly levels below the forecasted parent. However, we are not seeing suggested Purchase Orders for the suggested jobs. We do see Suggested Purchase Orders for Firm Jobs that we created. Is this how Epicor MRP works normally? All other Part/Part Detail/Site type settings like Days of Supply, etc. are set to zero and seemly should not be preventing the Suggested PO’s. Curious if anyone has any ideas on this situation. -Todd
Hello, I am new to both Epicor and EUG. However, I have worked in a number of systems and with a few user groups, in my 30+ years, so after searching for an answer here, without luck, I am going to ask.First, my reason for asking is that with all the supply chain issues, and a two person staff being down to one, until I was hired last week, we are very behind in placing PO’s. We have many shortages for jobs that we would like to release to the floor. I am working on a BAQ that will identify shortages, any open PO’s, etc. In doing so, I am trying to determine the PO Release Code definitions. From the interface, I am finding that C = Closed, O = Open, V = Voided. However, M also appears to equal Closed, but there must be something more to it, like perhaps Matched (to an invoice). Any help would be appreciated. - Todd
