Check with your Epicor CAM to see if they are still offering the Value Exchange Workshop. Basic idea is Epicor people come in and meet with users to determine needs, pain points, etc, then offer solutions. Those solutions can be relatively easy and handled in house to you need a new module and some custom coding. But it is free (or at least was) besides your people’s time to meet with Epicor people then reconvene to hear the review.
Give this a try… not all the automation is in place but it is a start. The JobMtl grid is also updatable, not sure I will need to use either the JobMtl grid or the JobOper grid at my current job.
Sure!
I have at a previous job and am just beginning to create one at my current job.Updateable dashboard where the user enters a resolution comment and checks the Closed box. Directive may take care of setting resolution topic as it may just be the same as the issue topic; if not, a resolution topic will need to be entered as well. The same dashboard will also allow the user to put the maintenance job on hold if necessary.
Are you going to eventually turn off the Payroll Module in Epicor? If so, I think you want to populate EmpBasic not PREmpMas with your Paylocity employee data. That will bypass the PayRate… you will enter labor rate on EmpBasic.
Doug,Just saw Scott’s reply to John’s AMM question and I want to jump on the AMM as a June meeting topic.I am looking for insight/direction, so not a presenter on the topic… wanted to make that clear🤔Hope you are enjoying Insights… maybe next year for me. Jean
To implement Production Yield Recalculation:- Plant Configuration Control settings- Operation Production Yield settings- All open jobs will need to have the Production Yield box checked- New jobs will automatically be checked with Production Yield due to the Plant Configuration Control settings - Set the recalculation process to run at the desired interval (we are running it every 2 minutes)- use Global Alert for production yield change qty to alert Scheduler/production manager* Typically for us, “gross” over production is only reported at a few operations so we have those operations set up to send Shop Warning Alert to notify the Scheduler, who then manually adjusts the job production quantity. Some things to look out for:- Depending on the operation production yield settings, you may not see a re-calculation happen (percentage of change too small)- Fixing production quantity on job, be careful how y
We recently moved from Epicor payroll to Paycor. We are using MES for our shop/union labor reporting and Time Entry and indirect codes for PTO, Holiday and other Non-Work Paid Hours. Our Salary payrolls are running pretty smoothly since all labor is entered via Time Entry (2 decimal places), but our Union payrolls are a bit more challenging because labor via MES is 5-decimal places. Epicor payroll reconciled any rounding difference between labor and pay hours. Wear using labor hours for our transfer to Paycor because we want Paycor to provide GL data back to us; Direct, Indirect, Non-Work Paid hours are different GL accounts and labor department may also trigger a different GL account.Like Melissa, we are trying to determine the best way to integrate Paycor and Epicor. Our salary payrolls could be direct exports from Epicor to Paycor, but our Union payrolls won’t be (overtime and PTO rules require manual oversight and at this time we are doing that via excel workbook). We also want P
Look at the Part’s Receive Time (in Part Entry or Tracker on the Plants / Planning tab, Scheduling box in lower left corner).
Hey Doug,Just saw your post.I am ready for an in-person meeting! Jean(formerly @ EEC, now @PCC once again)
We use Epicor Payroll. For each employee’s 401k deduction and matching deduction we have period 5 unchecked (meaning that the deductions will not be processed during a period 5 payroll run). If we are running a special paycheck that should not have 401k processed we then set deduction period to 5 in Paycheck Entry.
Hi Michael!Couple things to check… System Management / Utilities / Run Generate Shop Capacity (try checking delete shop caps)In company config, modules, production, job… check your setting for Global Reschedule Started Operations (might want to clear it if you have it checked)Conversion programs to refresh (create/rebuild) ShopLoad Table, create/fix shopcap.capacity taotals, recalculate number of machines in Resource Group (sorry I don’t remember the number for any of these)Remove jobs from schedule and reschedule.
