Can you select only certain operations to print on the job traveler?
Migrating via re-implementation to K22.1 via DMT When we do the cut-over of the non-transactional Pilot to Live, then load the open jobs, I’m hitting a road block and can’t remember how to solve it. What I expect:Initially load JobAsmbl records with no parent, peer, or child fields included, and no Related Operation included. Then load the JobOper records. Then load-update JobAsmbl again, this time with only the required fields plus Parent, peers, Child, BOM sequence and level, and RelatedOperation. The assembly records would then have their proper structure in the loaded job. What’s actually happening: On the Update run, DMT seems to load the update JobAsmbl records normally, no errors. But the job assemblies are still flat in Job Tracker. In one job, assembly 5 should be a subassembly of assembly 2 but it is still shown under parent zero. What I’ve tried so far:Load without Bom level and sequence fields Load without RelatedOperation field Run conversion workbench pointer fixes b
I’m doing a dump/transform/load from Vantage 5 to ERP 10.2.700 and I’ve hit a snag loading open job assemblies. This happened to me on a prior project and I can’t remember how I solved it. The error that I’m getting is of this form: 2022-09-24T15:40:18 1001239 7 Table: JobAsmbl Msg: Invalid child assembly.Invalid child assembly.2022-09-24T15:40:19 1004695 7 Table: JobAsmbl Msg: Invalid child assembly.Invalid child assembly. The error cases are repeatably the same; these are the steps I’ve taken so far:Checked that I’m in the right company and plant Tried removing the “parent,” “peer,” and “child” fields Tried removing the BOM Level and BOM Sequence fields Reduced the load file to the first five jobs, so failures happen more quickly Removed all fields except the bare minimum required by DMT for the JobAsmbl loadI’m probably just overlooking something; please assist if you can. Thanks much..Monty.
We’re currently testing Epicor 11 (Kinetic 2021.1) and have discovered that if you go into Engineering Workbench, input an ECO Group, then go to Actions > Check Out Part that it does not pull the ECO Group into that dialog box and you have to enter it again in order to be able to check out a part.Is this the way that it is supposed to work and always has, or is this something to put in an EpicCare ticket about? In our Live environment (version 10.2.700.12) the ECO Group does auto-populate if already entered in Engineering Workbench, and I cannot find a BPM that we created for it to do this. Which is why I’m asking if either the Kinetic 2021.1 or our Live environment behavior is the expected behavior.
I have an updateable dashboard where the user wants to record changes they have made, so I am thinking of writing this to a UD table on a button click. I am familiar with creating button click actions and using them to manipulate data within the dashboard, but creating a new record in a foreign table is somewhat beyond me. Would be grateful for any suggestions or sample code.ERP 10.2.700
10.2.700 We have our evaluation upgrade server in place, and it’s running all programs normally and printing is working as well. But when we run MRP, we receive the error below. I searched this forum for the keywords, and it was from a company upgrading from 9.05 to 10.2, but unfortunately they only posted basically “we found the answer” without giving the technical details. Have any of you ever done an upgrade, and trying to run MRP in the new system, had the socket refuse to process? It’s sticking on “deleting transfer order suggestions” which I think is the first thing it tries to do. Thanks...Monty."E102700TEST": A communication error occurred trying to run task ID 965021 for agent "SystemTaskAgent" on the application server (User: "mwilson", Task Description: "Process MRP").If this continues to happen investigate if you need to increase the receive and send timeouts in your web.config.Error details:System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException: The socket connection was aborted.
10.2.500 I had previously posted a reply to an old thread about Get Details in Engineering Workbench not correctly copying manufacturing details from a quote. Specifically, leaving off some of the assemblies, during the copying process. I only today realized that I’ve been posting in a forum called ERP Archive, which may not be visible to some of you. Now we are seeing where an assembly that’s four levels down in the engineered quote template line, is being pulled up to the top level (it’s right under assembly 0) when we Get Details in the Engineering Workbench. It is repeatable for a specific quote line. Does anyone have a recent problem number I can reference when I open the case? Or any additional information I might use to form a workaround? My EWB person is at a standstill because there are about 75 part numbers in the multi-level assembly Please help,…...Monty.
I'm working on a data directive for maintaining a list within the UDCodes table, and I’m asking for help with the appropriate Epicor and/or BO calls, to create a new UDCodes record. It needs to be in C# code, because the list of records to be created is in a C# List. I have an example of code where an entry is added to the UD12 table based on this “GetService” setup…using(var svc = Ice.Assemblies.ServiceRenderer.GetService<Ice.Contracts.UD12SvcContract>()) {...then a record is created in code and we see ds.UD12.Add(UD12); BOUpdErrorTableset boUpdateErrors = svc.UpdateExt(ref ds, false, true, out errorOccurred);...but when I put the service renderer GetService “using” statement in my directive, I get the error message saying “CS0234 The type or namespace name 'UD12SvcContract' does not exist in the namespace 'Ice.Contracts' (are you missing an assembly reference?)” In the code design window there is a button for Usings & References; can anyone advise me on what to
We have created a BPM to auto send the sales order acknowledgement when the sales order is flagged ready to process. We can prevent sending if the sales order is on hold but can’t figure out how to prevent if that sales order is on credit hold - don’t find any database field in orderhead that identifies the order credit hold condition??Suggestions appreciated!
Is it possible to remove or disable an item in the resolution list for a Reject material?Basically we want to make “Request Debit Memo” a non-option and this field cannot be blank either. I’ve done a trace and found the first change is on method CheckPlanningContractBin but when I place a BPM raise error the system just sits blank with no popup or ability to change anything unless I “clear” and refresh the DMR processing page. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.Cheers,Neal
I need to create a BAQ that will return only the last (most recent) sales order for each customer and create a formula field that tells me how many days ago that was.In E9 there was the first/last criteria. I’ve been trying to play around with subqueries w/o much success.Anyone know how to do this in E10?
