Looks like they updated the cloud server and my client no longer matches. Usually when I log in if there is a need for updates it starts copying client files but I can’t see a way to trigger that. I looked in the C:\Epicor\GOV\2xxxx-LIVE\Client folder but did not see anything except AutoUpdate which gave me an error about not finding default.sysconfig in the config subfolder. There is one there but it is prefixed with our SaaS instance number. I know I have resolved this before but never for a Cloud setup. Any hints? I’m dead in the water.Thanks,-Todd C.
Kinetic 2021.2.3 SaaSFor a part I am trying to have a Subquery return the Sum of Quantity Onhand for whatever bins the part is in. The subquery is returning a row for each bin and the Sum being calculated shows just that bin quantity. I think I have something backwards because I am sure this sort of thing is done routinely. I am getting:But I need one row with TotOnHand = 32. The subquery links to the top query by PartBin.Company and PartBin.PartNum. The aggregate calc in the top level SubQuery1 isSum(PartOnHand.PartBin_OnhandQty).Any hints on getting the correct Sum and one row per part?Thanks,-Todd C.
I may be crazy but I am trying to remember if there is a conversion or fix routine to recalculate the average cost for parts. Many parts have zero average cost due to not being received to stock but rather direct to the job. Now everything is being received to stock and the costs are messed up. Is there a way to have the system roll through past receipts and automatically recalculate the average cost? This is for Kinetic 2021.2.3 in the Cloud so I am thinking if there really is a way it would require Cloud Support. The incorrect (or missing) average costs are affecting WIP valuation and revenue recognition. Thanks,-Todd C.
Hello EUG people. This may well be my last posting here. Hopefully not but we’ll see. After spending six months converting BAQs, Dashboards, BPMs and reports from 9.05.702A to 10.2.600.11 the company went live on Epicor 10 on Monday. On Tuesday my position was eliminated. Fine with me as I was considering semi-retiring soon anyway and doing contract work so I am pushing that up a bit. After working exactly one year from at home due to Covid-19 I know a lot more about how workable this is. So if anyone has a hints, tips or contacts about doing Epicor contracting I would definitely appreciate all the info I can get. My personal email is: caughey-t@comcast.net . Our cost accounting people track labor efficiency very closely and have asked me why in Job Tracker for an operation the Actual Hours under Production per Machine is different that the sum of the Labor Hours under the Labor Transactions tab. In one case 15.84 and 12.89 respectively. I looked at the help for the Actual Hours in the Operation Production Per Machine section and nothing there seemed to apply. We had no re-work and there is no Burden involved. To their mind the sum of the labor transactions should always equal the total for the operation. I was thinking these may be apples & oranges items but they said that aside from the odd discrepancy they are always the same.Any thoughts on what would make them different? I am trying to clean up some obsolete attachment file paths that point to old servers in E9 using DMT. But I know I saw a feature in E10 for doing exactly this. So I think it might be better to wait a few weeks and update the locations after we get to E10. But now I can’t find where this was. I looked at all the options under Document Management (in System Management) but I am not seeing it. In our process to upgrading to E10 we are having multiple new license files to add modules. I can’t import one I received today. It says it already is in the Mocon, Inc. installation. But the items to enable are not available and in a couple cases are “enabled” but not “Licensed”. I’ve done E10 license updates many time (in 10.0) and was wondering if the process changed for 10.2.600? Any suggestions?
