For rather complex reasons, I want to get the current environment name in a customised dashboard. The closest I can find in Object Explorer is MainController.Session.AppServer, which I can extract the environment name from as it is part of the AppServer string, but this is not recognised when I run the code checker, and nor is any other member of MainController.Session. Can anyone point me in the right direction?ERP 10.2.700Kind regards,Peter
I want to set the background colour of one pane in a multi-pane dashboard to white, so that it can be printed without the default grey background. There seems to be no way to do this using the dashboard properties, so I am looking at doing it in a customisation of the dashboard using c# code, but no luck so far. Has anyone succeeded in changing the background colour of a dashboard grid, and if so, how?ERP 10.2.700Kind regards,Peter
Happy new year to all.I have created an updateable stock count dashboard (we don’t use the standard Epicor stock counting process as it is too cumbersome) which gives part number, warehouse, bin, on hand qty, etc. and allows the user to record the actual quantity and thus returns any stock discrepancy. My boss would like me to take this one stage further if at all possible, and have the discrepancies post as inventory quantity adjustments from the dashboard, instead of having to do them manually.I think this should be possible using the InventoryQtyAdj adapter, and I have been experimenting with it. I have been able to get the code to call the appropriate InventoryQtyAdj business methods, but so far I have been unsuccessful in getting the info from the dashboard into the ttInventoryQtyAdj record. I get an exception message saying “ttInventoryQtyAdj record not found” every time.Has anyone successfully achieved this, and be kind enough to share tips and/or code?ERP 10.2.700
I have an updateable dashboard where the user wants to record changes they have made, so I am thinking of writing this to a UD table on a button click. I am familiar with creating button click actions and using them to manipulate data within the dashboard, but creating a new record in a foreign table is somewhat beyond me. Would be grateful for any suggestions or sample code.ERP 10.2.700
I am working on a customized dashboard, trying to have it set a value for a field in all rows in the grid when the user clicks a button. I have defined an EpiDataView pointing to the grid, which compiles OK, but looping through all rows is causing me problems. I can get it to do it on selected rows using “foreach (var row in edvMyDataView.SelectedRows)” (thanks to the EUG community in a previous post) but so far I have been unable to get it to work for all rows. I have tried “foreach (var row in edvMyDataView.Rows)” but this doesn’t compile. Would be grateful for any assistance.ERP 10.2.700.Kind regards,Peter
Hello all,I have written an updateable dashboard to assist with inventory counts, displaying info from PartWhse. There are a couple of UD fields, both checkboxes, that are updateable on the dashboard. All works as per spec, the user can check or uncheck the flags and it saves back to the DB table just fine. However, I would like to give the user the option of checking or unchecking the checkboxes for all rows to save time, so thinking of adding buttons to the dashboard tracker view. I created a test button and got as far as having the wizard create the private static void, but that’s where my expertise ends! I tried using a foreach statement on ttResults but the Script Editor doesn’t recognise the name.Has anyone done anything like this before?Peter
Good morning fellow Epicorists,I have been given a requirement for the Product Configurator that has kind of blown my mind! The products we are trying to configure are superabrasive grinding wheels which are hot press moulded using a hard resin medium. Getting the press settings (tonnage, temperature and cure time) right is a bit of a dark art, so what production want to do is keep a history of all past configurations with the press settings they have used before so we can see what settings we have used in the past for wheels of similar dimensions, bond types, concentrations, etc. when creating a new configuration.Saving the configuration to a history file is no problem, I have achieved this with an On Save expression that writes the configuration details to a UD table.Retrieving the details and getting them to display in a sensible format is causing something of a headache. I have written a UD Method which is triggered by a button click, which searches the UD table based on the current
We have just upgraded our Pilot system from 10.2.500 to 10.2.700.Having a lot of issues with the Order Acknowledgement report. To cut a long story medium length, after overcoming an initial hiccup with a bit of help from EUG members (thank you!) I then started to get the dreaded “Query execution failed” error on the OrderHed dataset, which usually means there is a field in the RDL that is excluded from the RDD. I couldn’t find it.I ended up copying the standard Epicor RDL as a test form, then added the query fields from my custom RDL to the test one, and added them to the field list also, so the new test RDL ended up the same as the Epicor standard form but with the dataset properties for OrderHed exactly the same as the custom one that keeps failing. Tested it with my custom RDD at each stage and it worked.Went back to the custom RDL and it failed again, even though the dataset properties are exactly the same. I know I am not looking for a field in the form that doesn’t exist in the q
We have just upgraded our Pilot system from 10.2.500 to 10.2.700. Printed an order acknowledgement to test SSRS, using our usual custom form, and it errored in System Monitor. Error message below. The message refers to field Calc_AttributeSetShortDesc in table OrderRel. I cannot find this field in either the RDL file or the data def for the report, so I am at a loss as to why it is being referenced. This error does not occur if I print using the system Standard acknowledgement form, and no other forms that I have tested so far show this behaviour. Copied our working custom form from Live to Pilot and retested, but got the same error. Program Ice.Services.Lib.RunTask raised an unexpected exception with the following message: RunTask:System.ArgumentException: Column 'Calc_AttributeSetShortDesc' does not belong to table OrderRel. at System.Data.DataRow.GetDataColumn(String columnName) at Erp.Internal.OM.SalesOrderAck.SetColumnValues(String tableName, DataRow row) in C:\_releases\ERP\ER
We need to change the Base Unit Price for one of our purchased parts in Supplier Price List, but when we try to save the record it throws this error. The Supplier UOM in the VendPart record is the same as on the Part record, so what is it trying to override?
In Tablix Properties on the General page, there is a checkbox labelled “Repeat header rows on each page”. I have this checked in a number of my SSRS reports, but it does not seem to have any effect, the header row of the tablix with all my column headings only appears on page 1. Am I missing something?
