Hi everyone, we are currently implementing kinetic…we are going paperless on the shopfloor and shop floor workers will need to view work instruction and drawings relating to the job.We have purchased DocStar and expected for the documents to just pop up so that they can be viewed but it seems the only option throughout kinetic is to download and then view afterwards. As we are using android based tablets with limited storage, and user computer knowledge is limited, i really do not want them having to download documents to the tablet.Has anyone found a way around this? I have logged an Epicor Idea ( KIN-I-4485) but i cannot believe that its not standard function to be able to just click a hyperlink and open the document online somehow without downloading.Any help would be greatly appreciated. image1767×1035 74.8 KB
Hi Everyone,Has anyone got any experience with Bartender and network printing? We are implementing shop floor right now our setup is as follows:* Android Samsung A8 Tablets for production using Web based MES* Bluetooth Datalogic scanners attached to each tablet* Wifi Zebra printers networked via wireless to server with edgeagent running on the server*Zebra TC22 hand scanners for picking/warehouse running epicor android mobile warehouse. So we purchased Bartender 2022 for designing and running all the labels we require for purchase receipts, production and quality. We are using operational tags to replace our current job cards/need for job travellers.I can print using network print options to test an output if the file is an SSRS report but i cannot use network print to print a bartender label (i should be able to select the network printer that will then map this into the output BT file and subsequently then print to the network printer via the integration builder.) I will eventually lo
Hi Guys, We have a BAQ in our pilot system called transport board which our implementation consultant has built. The BAQ is a list of all sales orders waiting to be shipped (and lots more but i won’t go into that) We need it to load in a particular way when opened – grouped by date and then by customer but expanded and not collapsed as the screenshot shows below. Any ideas how to do it? It should load these all open by date and then by customer – expanded (there could be 40/50 rows or more so you wouldn’t want to click through each one to open up but it needs to be in grouped view)
Hi All, We are currently implementing Epicor Kinetic. I have setup Territories per region and then boundaries by post code. I do not want a territory linked to a sales person as the sales reps are customer based and not by territory. I was of the impression that when you then pressed the “get territory” button on a Sales Order/Quote it would apply the correct territory based on the post code for that customer. Its not working though and is only pulling the default CRM assigned territory in company config. I have had a case open with Epicor to say its not working and they have been about as helpful as a chocolate tea pot to be honest. They have said its working correctly and it only works by pulling the default from CRM. They have suggested just logging an Epicor Idea for an “improvement” Surely this is a bug? Has anyone else come across this or got it to work as it should?I cant see the purpose of having a big “Get Territory” button if it has no purpose apart from pulling the default t
Hi all,Looking for some advice please. Apologies in advance if any of the below does not make sense as im writing this at half past 9 at night!! :)We are going through a new Epicor Kinetic implementation and currently trying to resolve a few issues we have we process within the system. We are a bespoke aluminium extrusion stockist and machinist and so every part we buy and sell or manufacture is specific to customer design and so every product is unique and inventory is all customer linked.Because we are a stockist - a lot of orders we produce will be manufactured and then held in stock for a period of time which could be up to 12 months. We also have to use traceability for every transaction and so we have global lot tracking turned on.Originally our Epicor Ops consultant suggested we use Make Direct so that ever manufactured item is assigned a lot number and the jobs produced hit inventory. We then wanted to use fulfillment workbench to review jobs with material available / pick orders
Hi Guys,Was looking for a bit of help/advice please - we are currently going through implementing Kinetic and are around 8 months into the implementation process (we are not far off POC)One issue we are having or finding is the shipment process in the system. We have 1000s of manufactured and purchased products and every we make is bespoke to customer design. We also stock so orders that are ready to be shipped aren’t always dispatched straight away.Currently we keep a google sheet document that is a visual transport board for the entire company. Sales administrators dictate what goes on the board and when its going out. Its a mixture of customer shipments (identified via sales order numbers) customer collections (from us) supplier Collections (collect from them via hired transport) and a few others. Day to day view listed by customer and then the orders going out for that customer.Transport use this board to forward plan loads. Its also a visual aid for sales to see when the orders hav
Hi All,First post on the forum as a member of Epicor Users and new to Kinetic! :)We have recently begun our Epicor journey and have begun the Pre-implementation training supplied by Epicor directly to introduce Epicor Kinetic Saas to the business.I have had an open support call with Epicor now for over a week to try and resolve an issue with regards to E-mail setup which is currently preventing me from being able to add any new users to the system. We have Office 365 but Epicor have recommended us setting up mail settings using SendGrid (as this is how most clients setup) and i have followed their advice to do this. However, I have not been able to resolve the issue and i get an error message when trying to send a test email.Has anyone implementing Saas had a similar issue? I have it setup as below as per advised by Epicor directly.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Luke (Sherwood Stainless & Aluminium Ltd)
