We've taken a level 1 SSRS report writing class and are looking for the intermediate class from a source in the Minnepolis area. How have you E9 customers got training on SSRS and where did you find training?
Yep. And probably what I need first, too...So at this point, I’m not a good partner[Description: cid:image002.png@01CC8741.7E5893E0] Carl HeederStatLab Medical Products2090 Commerce Drive| McKinney, TX 75069t: 281-993-6293|m: 281-797-2200cheeder@statlab.com| www.statlab.comhttp://www.statlab.comFrom: Bruce Minor [mailto:minnesota_list@list.epicorusers.org]Sent: Monday, July 27, 2015 3:58 PMTo: minnesota_list@list.epicorusers.orgSubject: [Minnesota_List] - RE: SSRS TrainingWe took the class online from Center for Professional Development in Eden Prairie, formerly Benchmark Learning. They put together their own coursework. It included:> SSRS fundamentals.> Creating reports with Visual Studio.> Creating reports with Report Builder 3.0> Basics of datasets, tables, grouping. It did not get into subreports, which most standard E10 reports have. So that is the key element we are interested in, along with other intermediate level topics. Does that help?On Mon, Jul 27, 2015 at 3:52 PM,
We have been on E10.0.700.4 since November and have definitely noticed performance improvements; faster queries and searches, Reporting, however, does not seem much improved. We are crushingly disappointed with the number of bugs and issues in E10.0 and are rushing to get to E10.1 ASAP. We seem to experience an unending list of issues and problems some of which remain unresolved to date.In the past, when something did not work correctly we would usually search through our customizations or processes. But we have learned to start with a call to support and ask about similar reported issues. At this stage and to name three, MRP fails to consider Transfer Order demand when suggesting jobs, credit card charges often do not process when a second shipment is made on the order, and almost daily we are experiencing errors in the PartBin inventory totals that require recalculation from individual transaction.Frankly, the performance improvements of E10 over E9 are not worth the difficulties we
I believe the transactions will get booked according to the Part Class in effect at the time of the transaction. So if a part’s part class points to a general inventory category, and the item is received, the value will get added there. If you change the part class of that part to point to an obsolete account, any future transactions for that part will get booked to the new obsolete category. Once changed, to have the initial value in obsolete, You will probably have to move the value via journal entry From general to obsolete once you make this change.
Here’s another approach: Create a subquery using OrderHed.Add a calculated field called (say) Latest as stringand deineit as:Case when Row_Number() OVER (Partition By OrderHed.CustNum ORDER BY OrderHed.OrderDate DESC)=1 then 'YES' else 'NO'end And also include Company, CustNum and OrderDate and OrderNumThen in Top level add Customer table , bring in Subqery, link on Company and CustNumAnd in the subquery filter the results where Latest=’YES’ This works well Ascending or descending to find the first or last value
Well, For sales orders, Go to fulfillment Workbench, click on Order fulfillment, the search. Here you can enter an order number, a fulfillment date or some other criteria.then Select the lines of interest.Got to Actions and Reserve and Relase for Picking. Answer the following questions If the stock is available, you will get an OK and the Pick order will show up in AMM Material Request Queue
If you already have a source document from which you can copy, a different approach is to open Order entry and in the grid of lines, alter the order of columns to match the order of data in your source document. That way you can normally copy and paste insert from your source document
You are probably going to need some little BPM, probably a Data Directive on the PartTran table. If you want help, let me know. I think that you are in eastern PA? And I am not far away. some other expiration date related topics. We set a Minimum Acceptable Shelf Life(MASL) factor for parts. We put this on PO’s.if a receipt is made below this cut-off, the receipt is put into inspection and Quality decides to keep it or return it to the vendor. We also run a monthly report for items approaching the MASL.We use Advanced Material Management so our pick lists show stock by expiration ate so pickers are normally encouraged to pick the oldest, but still acceptable stock.
I will try to look when i can get access to our system, but I suspect that with Inspection Processing , there is an Update method. If so, you can use it in Pre-update to block if the UD field is empty.
