Inactive Inventory

I’m needing to get a list of parts that has been inactive for the past two years, and also the value of those parts as of 12/31/2023. What is the best way to go about getting these values?

Costing in DMR

We have a job that we just scrapped parts from, and the burden unit cost jumped from $111 up to $1194.  The transactions are shown below: We have the Move Costs to DMR enabled in Company Configuration.  I’m having a difficult task to determine where that big jump in burden cost came from.   If anyone can guide me where to look that would be helpful.We are using Epicor 10.2.500.

Application Server not holding SSL Cert

I am trying to install an application server for Kinetic 2023 for a test environment.  I had it working locally on the server, but then removed it due to some issues.  Now I’m trying to set it up again.When I assign the SSL cert to the Kinetic server, I can initiate the ping but once I click the Apply or OK button, it does not hold the SSL cert.If I try to add an application server or register an existing one, it gives an error:This IIS web server needs to have SSL setup before administering Kinetic application servers.  Open the server properties dialog and check the SSL Certificate settings.If I go back to the Server Managment, the SSL cert box is empty.Has anyone encountered this issue?

Error with WIPReport Report Definition

We have a couple custom report styles for the WIP Report.  Things were running fine for many, many months, and then suddenly when we tried to run the reports it gives an error:Program Ice.Services.Lib.RunTask raised an unexpected exception with the following message: RunTask:System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: An error has occurred during report processing. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ProcessingAbortedException: An error has occurred during report processing. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ReportProcessingException: Query execution failed for dataset 'RptParameter'. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Invalid object name 'RptParameter_7609a185543d4930a32a86635fc24c6d'.Each time we try to run it, it looks for the same temporary table in the SSRS database instead of creating a new table each time.If I try to copy the WIPReport definition to a totally new definition, it still errors even if I don’t modify the definition.The s

Set Payroll Date in Labor Entry

When we enter transactions into Labor Entry, we are always entering the labor records for the previous work day. Is there a way to default Labor Entry so when a new Time record is created for an employee it will put the previous work day date into Payroll Date field, instead of the current date, or to set the date in the calendar to the previous work date?

Sending E-Invoices

We are trying to setup Epicor to send e-invoices.  I have set the options in Company Configuration, Customer, Email Template, Transaction Document Maintenance, and Report Style Maintenance.I can generate the e-invoice in AR Invoice Tracker and I see the PDF file that was generated in the location specified in Company Configuration. However, when I go to send it I get a message “There are no attachments to invoice xxxxxx.  Nothing to send.”.  If I look at attachments in Invoice Tracker, it does not show any files. Did I miss a step or setting?

Checking For Field Value in Customer Group From Invoice Entry

I am trying to come up with a custom solution, and I’m hoping someone here can guide me in the right direction.In AR Invoice Entry, I have created a custom epiButton on the Header tab.  When an invoice is displayed in the window, I would like to check the value in a checkbox01 custom field in the Customer Group table, for the customer that is assigned as the sold to on the invoice.  I would then like to enable/disable the epiButton based on if the checkbox field value is True or False.I have so far created a BPM that fires on the Erp.ARInvoice.GetByID event.  At this point I’m not sure where/how to add custom code that would go to the CustGroup table and grab the checkbox01 value, and then set the Enabled properties of the epiButton.I also have the Epicor Customization Tools add-in extension for Visual Studio.  Would it be better to program the logic in that rather than the BPM?  If so, how can I add in any references to the CustGroup table, or run a BAQ looking at CustGroup?Any advice

Beginning Inventory Balances Day 1 of Prior Month

Does anyone know of a good way to determine the beginning inventory balances at the start of the prior month?  I have not found where this would be stored in the tables, if at all.I have a request for data showing what the inventory balances were on day 1 of the prior month. (i.e. from today, it would be August 1st), to be run on any given day.  We are using Epicor 10.2.500.13.

LaborDtl Storing JCDept on Indirect Labor

We have an instance of some records in LaborDtl that have a JCDept assigned, even though the transaction is for Indirect labor.  How would it assign a JCDept code even though the entry was for an Indirect Expense code?  Not only that, but it’s assigning our General department (30) rather than the department the employee belongs to (23).I’ve looked at the indirect expense codes and I cannot find anything that looks out of sorts.For example, one employee has 3 entries for funeral leave for 3 consecutive days.  2 of the entries do not have a JCDept in LaborDtl, while the 3rd one does.  It isn’t affecting anything seriously, just some reports that are comparing both the JCDept in LaborDtl and the JCDept assigned to the employee.We are on Epicor 10.2.500.13.

Refresh Existing Job Burden Rates

We are using Epicor 10.2.500.13We recently found that two of our Resource Groups had incorrect burden rates, and also were assigned to the wrong department.  We’ve changed the Resource Groups so they are assigned to the correct department, and the burden rates were updated.I know this will take effect on future new jobs.  However, we need current unreleased jobs to be updated with the new burden rates. Modifying each job would not be possible due to the number of jobs (432).  Does Epicor have a utility to updated all these unreleased jobs with the new burden rates, or is there a way to perform a mass update?I’m thinking using DMT would be an option.

AP Invoice not selected by discount date

A question for AP Invoicing on 10.2.500.13 --In AP Payment Entry, we are experiencing where some invoices are not showing as ready for selection.  We do the following:click on Select Invoices from the Actons menu.  When then specify the due date, select Consider Discount Dates and specifiy the disocunt horizon (same date as due date), and select Include Invoice without Payment Method.  When the list of invoices that are applicable show up, there are some not showing that should be.Here’s an example.  We specify 2/22/2021 as due date and discount horizon: Here’s one of the invoices that are not showing on the list, but should be.  The due date is 2/28/2021, but the discount date is 2/10/2021: Why would this invoice not show up on the list for a discount horizon of 2/22/2021?

Currently using E10.2.500.13We have a case where we are giving a cash rebate to a certain customer, based on their current total AR balance.  With this rebate, we need to break in down to the line level, as some part groups receive a larger rebate percentage than other groups.We use the Aged Receivables Report to get the total current AR balance, however I cannot find any report that gives any detail information.Is there a way to get which invoice lines are applicable to the current open invoices with a balance?  Even if this is done with SQL, I’m good with that.  So far I have not found any detail records in the tables when it comes to open AR balances.Thanks.

Customer Rebates

We give out rebates to certain customers on a quarterly basis based on quantity invoiced for particular product groups, and have been doing it manually using Excel and extracting data from E10.I’m looking into the Rebate Contract in E10 to see if this will accomplish the same, but I’m not able to generate any rebate transactions. I have the rebate contract set up with a start date/end date of this year, accrual type is Invoice, and Rebate Form is Credit Memo.  It is checked Active.  For the lines I’ve specified 5 product groups, break type of Quantity.  On the schedule, I’ve set up payment dates of 1/5, 4/4, and 7/1.  For Customer, I pulled in all customers in a certain customer group, and set Rebate Form to Credit Memo.I created a sales order for one of the customers, made a shipment against the sales order for parts in one of the product groups specified, and then created an invoice for that shipment and posted to the GL.I ran the process the generate rebate transactions, but when I

SSRS Report - Invoice Number To Header

I have been fighting an ongoing battle since we updated to E10 in January.For the AR Invoice Form, using the standard E10 ARForm SSRS report as a base, I created a new custom form for our format.  The ARForm uses code in the report to add the invoice number to the page header.  (code.SetVarInvoiceNum function in the Invoice number group header).For invoices that have only 1 page, all is good.  What we encounter is on some that have multiple pages per invoice, the values in the header (invoice number) jump ahead one invoice so things don’t match up.  We get page 3 of the invoice with the correct detail, but the invoice number and invoice date are pulling in the values from the next invoice.  We have to print each invoice individually to get it to print correctly, rather than all the invoices as a batch.  That can take more time if there’s a lot of invoices in the batch/group.Here’s an example.  The 2 values highlighted in yellow are the current invoice (551924).  The values in orange ar

Partial Reservation

We are needing to spread some inventory over several customers.  In the Fulfillment Workbench, it appears it does not allow to reserve a partial quantity, just the entire quantity that is on the order line.In E10, is there a way to reserve just a partial quantity on a customer order?Thanks in advance.

Part Costing

I have a costing question, as I am not totally understanding how Epicor does the costing in/with  transactions.I have a part that on one date/transaction, it shows a STK-CUS transaction with typical unit costs.  The next transactions performed are ones moving parts to Inspection, and then through DMR as we scrapped some parts of the job.  The ASM-INS transactions are recording at no cost, but then the DMR transactions moving them to scrap all of a sudden has our labor and burden unit costs shooting up.  This is a part that typically does not have high costs since it’s a smaller part.I’m trying to find and/or understand how the DMR process is recording these transactions at a much higher cost.  Is it related to the resource/operation that these parts were scrapped off of?Attached is a snapshot of these transactions.  I’ve highlighted the line that shows the lower costs, and then the line that these costs are increased.We just scrapped more of these parts off the same job, only now the m
