Picture Taking and Storage Using Epicor ECM

We are a repair company that process approximately 20,000 units per year. We would like to incorporate incoming and outgoing pictures into our process. We are on Kinetic 2023.1.12 and also have Epicor ECM. The current process uses Microsoft Power Apps to automate some of the picture taking and naming of the files. However, the process is taking too long for our technicians and shipping/receiving personnel. Has anyone implemented any automated picture taking in Epicor using workflows with ECM? If so, do was this an internal project or did you use outside help? If inside, would you be willing to discuss the internal project. If outside, do you have anyone that you could recommend to get us started down this path?Any help or suggestion is very much appreciated.

avg cost calculation not averaging

We have a part that appears to not be recalculating avg cost. The part number should be closer to the price paid of the last several orders. $967.38, however, the avg cost is $582.04. We haven’t purchased any of these parts that low since 2017.I looked at KBs in EpicCare and am wondering which things are excluded from avg cost calculations. Does it make a difference if purchase direct or make direct where the cost goes directly to the job? if the part goes to inspection, is it excluded from calculation? any help would be appreciated.

Error Loading Home Page - Kinetic Client

About 60 days ago, some of our Kinetic clients started receiving the following error when attempting to sign in: “Error Loading Home Page - hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1” The fix from support is to delete the users local app data for Epicor. It fixes the issue short term however, we have had at least two clients return the same issue after 10+ days of the application working. Looking to see if anyone is experiencing this issue and if you have either a reason or a permanent fix.Thank you,Dave Miller

Kinetic Implementation Project Plan

Good Morning,We are just kicking off our Kinetic implementation. Our consultant utilizes Smartsheet for project planning which will work great for the tasks that are directly related to their steps that need to be completed for the project, but we are very limited to the access we have. Has anyone used a project planning software during implementation to keep track of the detailed steps that need to be completed on the customer end? Hoping to get some ideas from this team. Site to Site Inventory Transfer via DMT

We just added multisite and opened a new site. Our warehouse manager transferred 5+ truckloads of misc parts to the new site, physically, but did not move them in Epicor and they now want me to move everything via DMT. I tried using Inventory Transfer, and added the From/ToPlant to the template. It worked, except it appears to be doubling the QTY inside the To Bin in Part Tracker, even though the total OH Qty for the WH is correct, and every other place I check (QTY ADJ) etc, only the correct amount shows.I have a ticket in but I’m not sure I’m getting the help I need from support.Do I need to do 3 DMT’s to mirror the Transfer Order/Transfer Order Shipment / TO Recpt process? instead of using Inv Xfer?Is this an Epicor glitch?Thanks in advance.

How to stop Search box from opening automatically

We have a user that when they go into a module, after the module opens, the search box automatically opens up.I can’t find any settings that would impact this behavior.Does anyone know where this type of setting would be?

Application Studio - Quote Entry - Add a Tab

I figured out how to add the tab, but I am missing something as far as it is not showing as a tab across the top of a quote.This is what I see in PreviewThis is what I was expecting to see. Any ideas on what checkbox, setting, parameter I am missing in order to see this new tab on a quote?Thank youMelissa

Added Date Picker field using application studio

I have started to delve into the Application Studio universe and have a question.I added a date picker component to my OrderRel screen.I have the EpiBinding set up for the OrderRel_UD.Date01 field.I previewed and then committed \ published the new layer.I added this Kinetic customization to the Order Entry screen.I closed Epicor and relaunched and open Sales Order Entry and picked an order.I entered a date into the field and saved the record. I exited the order and went back in. The date that I entered did not ‘stick’. The field is blank.Where did I miss a setting or a property setup? I have handful of these types of ‘customizations’ I need to recreate which seems straightforward but I need to figure out this detail so I can proceed.Thanks for any help you can provide.Melissa Hietala

Schedule by "Ship By", but keep vision of "Need By" dates throughout schedule

Hi,I’ve done some searching, but not spotted anything that matches, so hope I’m not repeating anything here.I run a system using long term customer schedules. Demand has a need by date and a ship by date, that is typically earlier. MRP backwards schedules to generate a job and material schedule based on these ship by dates, which all works fine and as we want it to.If, (for instance) there is a delay in supply of material, the material and job dates will be forward scheduled from the date of the expected material supply, to give the ship by date by when we expect to supply the customer (now later than the need by date). MRP is still aligned and maintains the plan correctly, but visibility can be lost in the job and material schedule, of when things are needed to satisfy the need by date of the customer. The process relies on communication and manual maintenance of additional date fields at the moment, which is fallible and can mean the focus on improving dates is lost.Does anyone know

Open Orders stopped going into Fulfillment workbench

We have had this happen twice in approx six months. Fulfillment workbench will be empty, previously thru the day orders will be going thru populating the workbench, however there came a time when the next time a user checked, it was empty. No changes to the system or processes that we are aware of, we are Epicor cloud kinetic environment. We check, and we have orders that should be in the fulfillment workbench, ready to fulfill is checked, etc. We aren’t doing anything different then when everything is working.Then after some time, this time it was less than an hour, but the first time (six months ago) it was a few hours, it will let new orders that are entered, they will show up in the workbench. Previous Open orders (that are still open) are not showing up in the workbench.The only way we have found to get them into the workbench, was to change the shipby date, save (we do change it back and click save again just to keep the order information correct), and then the order will sh

Kinetic 2023.2 PO Suggestions - Filtering

We are just starting our testing of 2023.2.x. There is a new menu item for purchasing that combines the New and Change Suggestions screen which is great.However, we have different users in charge of different types of purchases and want to have multiple filters applied to the Landing page to be more efficient. For example, a tool crib manager purchases the tooling and Supply Chain team purchases materials. In classic mode there is an option on the grid for custom filtering with multiple filters. See below.I am new to the Kinetic screens but I don’t see an option like this. Am I missing something or has Epicor limited the options?Thank you for any information or direction.Melissa

Kinetic Cloud Screens Epicare Advice

Hi.I have 2 users who are having issues with Kinetic screens.One user gets an admin error on the AR Invoice Tracker screen.One user, when clicking the hyperlink on the Customer tracker screen, nothing happens.In both cases the screens worked previously.I have had similar issues in the past and EpicCare was able to fix it.In both cases for the current issues, Epicare is telling me to create new users for both team members.Is anyone else having issues like this? And is it strange for Epicare to recommend creating new users instead of fixing the current issues for the 2 users?Thank you in advance.

How to Select a precise list of jobs in Job Status Maintenance

We are facing the following challenge : At Labrie, we usually don’t firm jobs that don’t have all the materials available to produce. (for Manuf parts) The tool we use to validate if there is everything to produce is Fulfillment workbench. Once we get the list of jobs that are 100% ready to fulfill, we are stuck in a one-by-one operation to go into Job entry, and Firm and Release all those jobs. Example: If one morning I get 43 jobs ready to fulfill, I need to open the first one in Job Entry, Firm and Release, save, write the Change log comment, and then move to the next, 23 times. It is painstaking and time consuming. The reason we can’t use the Out of The Box Job Status Maintenance tool from Epicor is a) there is no way we can paste-insert a list from Excel into the list mode of this window b) there is no marker on a job that says “Ready-to-Fulfill” that we could filter on to isolate only those unfirm-ready-to-fulfill jobs. How you guys would manage this ? We are about to investig
