Terry McGrady at Epicor (Northeast) has a good stable at this disposal. They wrote my SSRS uploads for the 10 upgrade. And my custom InvWIP GL posting to include item details in the description. But I also use Epicenter’s, Brian Turgeon. Epicenter is great to work with, and Brian’s wit is awesome to deal with.I would recommend just fine one and use them. Once they get an understanding of your org, they can better plan the results you need, that you didn’t know.cch
When we moved from Epicor Hosted to Cloud, we were told SSO is no longer an option. My users miss SSO.cch

Arno,There are a couple of topics at the such as “Getting started with the Active Home Page” on the training courses. Also - Epicor Customization UserGuide 102400, Active Home Page personalization starts on page 258.They have made a couple of minor changes on the views, but 95% is still the same. Such as “Edit” is not the 3 vertical dots. You can change your layout here too.The other main difference - your profile (bottom left, headshot) - Open MORE SETTINGS>Home PageLayout to Apply (4 standard, and then any published) Publish Current. Saves your current desktop for other, i.e. Layout to Apply Other settings are here. Color/theming is not really an option. cch
Arno,If you are referring to what I call the Epicor Desktop - all the applications, EDD’s, custom dashboards, yes there is.Basic - the 3 vertical periods upper right, allows you customize, edit, save etc. (if you have the boxes checked on your user security page). Advanced - allows you to save, publish and share with others. There is a user guide and several training videos I used. Let me know if you need the links. cch
Good morning,We are cloud based, so we get upgrades every six weeks. I consider us being the guinea pig group, and reported a number of issues along the way. In my opinion, Kinetics is finally at a useable point in 10.2.700.12, just in time for the move to 11. Starting with 700.4, we were told to change our defaults back to basic on most reports as printers were taking 5 minutes to never to load. So far, that has been resolved in .12 You still have the choice option for forms/printers in .12, so I would not consider a jump to 600 if 700 is available. cch
Brian,Yes we have as well. We reported it when we moved from hosted to cloud. We were told that it was just that the new screens had load under the new format, that was 2 years ago.Are you using Kinetics yet in 10? It gets worse. And if using Cloud, Kinetics printer load is even longer or never. To the point PRB0229900 has been issued, stating the fix would be resolved in 10.2,700.8 - it hasn’t been. cch
If all you want is their last login, why not just user “User Tracker”No need to write anything.
We use several Inventory Accounts, 3 each raw, sub and FG for each of our product lines, but only one set of WIP. Instead of a BAQ, I run a stock status report to Excel and pivot the balances to compare to each G/L account balance. There is the usual small timing differences each month, so as long as they remain small I consider that good until year-end shut down when I post an adjusting entry to make the auditors happy.Any change in Class on a part, requires a journal entry to manual move the on-hand value. Unlike cost adjustment or Cost roll, changing the class does not post any transaction in the GL.I am interested in the separate account for Slow Moving, as Epicor cannot maintain multiple costs (Mfg cost and de-valued slow moving for example). cch
Good morning Eric.We have been on Epicor since 2014, first as hosted and moved to Single Tennant Cloud in 2018, currently on 10.2.700.6 First question - Who is your CAM? We are in New England, and have a good relationship with our CAM and Regional Client Manager. Keep in contact with them.In my opinion - the cloud is slower than our hosted environment. Numerous support cases has improved this close to our hosted times, but will never be the same as an on-site install.700.6 Kinetics has serious issues when attempting to load local printers, they may never load. This is supposedly corrected in .8, as they had to back date our .6 with the correction. Reference: PRB0229900 (use this if you have a problem with printers)I prefer having the constant updates, as we were always having issues that were resolved in future updates - that being the reason our move to the cloud. My big issue these days is lack of Beta testing on each six week update. We usually find at least one item th
Bill,If you receiving containers are all the same UOM going to the same bin - when you print tags from Actions>print tags there is a line that asks for "quantity per container" - which than does the math and produces the appropriate number of tags based on receipt quantity and per per container. But if the containers are all different quantities, or not going to the same location - our only solution has been to do multiple receipt lines. We are using BarTender for our labels/tags. And between Epicor and BT, there are a couple of different ways to produce multiple tags for the same container. cch------------------------------Charles HarrisVP FinanceAvCarb, LLCLowell MA978.934.7537------------------------------
We started using BarTender in late 2017 on E9 and migrated to E10 in January 2018. BT itself is very easy to use, design labels, set up the print integrations. The setup on E10 took a while as we have our E10 software hosted, but once that was worked out it runs smoothly. There are six canned labels in E10, and your Epicor rep can supple a short manual on how to get these to print by introducing you to RDD and data directives. Once you understand those functions, it opens a lot of opportunities for printing BC labels. I would say this part of printing labels was a lot harder than anything to do with using BarTender. So far our biggest struggle has been using the printed labels. We purchased 3 gun type devices and the general complaint has been the small screen size, so I am looking at some tablet options. There is some additional help on these boards for setting and using the RDD files. Once you have started, I can probably send you a short list of quick tips that I've picked up
Deb,Avcarb recently moved to E10, but if I recall correctly we spent some time looking at the various BC options in E9. There was a couple of standard reports that included BC options through Crystal. We played around a little moving the fields to meet our designs. Crystal is not as easy as BarTender for making modifications to the BC output. The guys at EpiCenter were out and help with some of the initial outputs and then we continued to play, knowing we were moving to E10. They may be able to help. That being said, I would recommend BarTender for a solution. The hardest part was getting EMS (AvCarb is hosted by Epicor) to install the software. There is a learning curve with using the RDD output, but other users and Seagull (BarTender) support can help with that. We have done more this year with E10 and BarTender than 4 years on E9.cch ------------------------------Charles HarrisVP FinanceAvCarb, LLCLowell MA978.934.7537------------------------------
