@calvind Hi Calvin. I’m curious about your suggestion, so I want to ask about it before we try it here. If you don’t mind me asking, what specifically are you suspecting about personalization that would trigger the hexadecimal errors?Regards,
Dave, I just found the following post in the Subreddit for Epicor…https://www.reddit.com/r/epicor/comments/1byqfon/hexadecimal_value_0x00_is_an_invalid_character/?rdt=37543
@Dave Miller We have one user who has been encountering that error repeatedly since March 27, but we have not been able to determine the cause. Similarly, if the client cache folder and the local app data folder are cleared, the user can resume using Epicor, but inevitably, the issue returns. We are using version 10.2.200.40.Regards,
The average cost calculations are applicable to only inventory-related transactions, so yes, it does make a difference if the parts are purchase direct and received directly to jobs,.
You can assign only one buyer per part class. However, you can still provide coverage by specifying additional authorized users for each buyer ID.
Have you already tried using Production Planning Process and Production Planner Workbench?
@CarolineP What version of Epicor/Kinetic are you currently running?
To draw a finer line… when all releases for a line are flagged as shipped complete.Regards,
Yeah, what Dolores said! After navigating to that page (which should be the same one that I linked in my previous reply), then you should see a “Subscribe” option on the right side of the page…...and subscribing should give you access to the group. If you cannot subscribe, then I suggest that you email info@epicorusers.org and request some assistance.
@karen@kasotasf.com Hi Karen. You might have better luck with getting feedback if you post the same message to EUG’s HCM community. Regards,
I believe that you cannot download the presentation, but you at least could share the following link to it:https://www.epicorusers.org/webinars/?vimeography_gallery=19&vimeography_video=915618853Regards,
Appears like this…
It seems like you have the wrong format selected. You want {longtime} rather than {datetime}.
Hi Monty,You also could just create a calculated field like the following:
Hi Doug,Will you be uploading PowerPoint slideshows, remote presentation recordings, etc., from yesterday’s meeting, or should we contact the presenters directly?Regards,
Judging from the screenshots in your original message, it appears that you have the program type for the menu option set to dashboard-runtime. Have you tried setting it to dashboard-system to see if that makes any difference?
Have you tried deleting personalizations of the dashboard or clearing (perhaps even deleting) your client cache?Regards,
@michael.lintz@martinyale.com Hello Michael.Since you said that you are “being asked by upper management on ways we can fully utilize the power of Epicor 10” and that you have “very limited experience with Epicor”, the very first question that came to mind was… does anyone at your company even really have any idea of everything that the application can do? Seems to me that should be your starting point, i.e. to have a fundamental understanding of the application’s capabilities before trying to decide where to focus your efforts. If you don’t have that fundamental understanding, then I would recommend obtaining and thoroughly reviewing the application user guide and the implementation user guide for the particular release that you are running.Regards,
Hi Karen. I cannot help you regarding issue #2, but I can tell you that Secure Data Manager (SDM) is no longer an option. Back in 2018, Epicor stopped distributing and supporting SDM and introduced new functionalities of their own. I believe these are now known as Epicor Payment Application, Epicor Payment Gateway and Epicor Payment Exchange. See EpicCare Knowledge Base article KB0040589.Regards,
Great meeting yesterday, including the plant tour! Thank you, Dan and Mercury Electronics!Nancy Hoyt, you wondered yesterday if you could post your presentation file here. You should be able to post a reply and simply attach/upload the file.
@djonason HCM is the acronym for Human Capital Management and it is Epicor’s product for the human resource management system (HRMS) market. For more information, check out the following:https://epicweb.epicor.com/resources/MRCCustomers/MFG-Kinetic-Human-Capital-Management-Suite-BR-ENS.pdfHTH!
We are going through a new Epicor Kinetic implementation Which Kinetic version are you implementing, Luke?
Very interesting, thank you both! For our solution, I created a Quick Search, but it sounds like setting up a BAQ Zone might have been a better solution.
@info @calvind I’ve never tried setting up a BAQ Zone, but Calvin’s description surely sounds enticing. Is it easy to create a BAQ Zone? If so, could you very briefly describe how to do that?Regards,
@info Yes, it definitely is possible, and it doesn’t necessarily require a BPM or any code. We have the very same business use case that you have, and we literally have thousands of alternate parts in the system. Please allow me a little time to gather the information and then I will post another reply.Regards,
